Basically the title. Sometimes this is played for laughs when it’s a stubborn character, or when someone’s trying to tough it out but eventually fails. Could be illness, but I’m thinking more short term than terminal… Also this doesn’t have to be the premise or main plot of the movie at all—it could just be a certain scene!
The season 2 halloween episode of Community has a funny scene poking fun at the trope too.

The first Die Hard comes to mind - McClane is basically bleeding from his feet the whole time but keeps going anyway. There's also that scene in Monty Python and the Holy Grail with the Black Knight who keeps insisting "it's just a flesh wound" after losing his limbs

In Soylent Green, the crooked cop main hero is shot in the leg but can't take off or see a police doctor because he could lose his job and join the millions of homeless in Manhattan, sleeping on staircases and stuff
Although I guess he admits it, he just says dystopian capitalism

Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975) features King Arthur fighting the stubborn Black Knight, who refuses to yield even after losing all four limbs. The knight hilariously dismisses his injuries, saying "'Tis but a scratch" and "It's just a flesh wound."

Smile 1 and 2 do this, primarily because not seeking help after trauma is a big theme of the movies
