Synopsis from Letterboxd: >In the turmoil of the Thirty-Years’ War, a mysterious soldier appears in a secluded Protestant village claiming to be heir to a long-abandoned manor. His quest for recognition and acceptance are complicated by his secret: under a false identity, false name, and pretense of a false gender, he has made his way to the village. But to achieve her goals, Rose, as the soldier is actually called, will stop at nothing. Mubi will distribute in US, Canada, Latin America, UK, Ireland, Turkey, Australia, New Zealand, and Italy Hüller recently won her second Silver Bear for Lead Performance for the movie, which was her second after winning in 2006 for 'Requiem'. This would be also be one of four(?) films Hüller has this year, with the others being Project Hail Mary, Alejandro G Iñárritu's Digger, and (possibly) Pawel Pawlikowski's Fatherland/1949.
