Ahhh damn they’re playing in Chula Vista. That venue *sucks* to get in and out of and there’s no easy public transit like the San Diego venues.

Let’s not act like they aren’t also going to other dogshit cities. KC used to get amazing shows. Post-pandemic it’s really sucked.

KC used to have Strange Music dominating the underground music scene. Tech N9ne was a formidable force, all by himself, even. It was wild. But I think that was part of the issue was that wild became TOO wild.
They did used to get some great shows. I'll give them that. But the violence levels in that city have grown way too out of hand and I could understand why you'd skip that city.
2
GaugzillaMar 27, 2026
+3
I don’t think violence has anything to do with it, considering it’s a lot of rich bands who are probably flying in and staying at one of the more expensive hotels (or just flying out altogether). They’re just plain skipping over KC when it was part of the usual tour schedule almost every time.

That’s a throwback. I used to love Muse until about 2010. Then their music just wasn’t as good. They are excellent in concert, though. I saw them like 7 times before that period, including at Wembley Stadium. I remember when Matt Bellamy had that cool upright piano with all the light-up effects. They’re great … even though I haven’t seen them in nearly 20 years, lol.

Hahaha not as exciting as it sounds but have some neat stories. The concerts are pretty easy, cover 2 major cities and often just travel down to follow the band for their next show. Sometimes we'll have multiple going on at once and that gets a little hard because I'm the main concert guy so they have to throw 2 or 3 kitchen people on a different show, makes it hard to keep the regular output going.
It's usually just me doing the food while everyone impatiently waits to grab shit, FoH wizard or 2, and then someone to do the driving and running around.
Most of the company business is catering for tech offices, weddings, film shoots, festivals, or landing the food trucks places.
So it'll be like "okay on Tuesday we have city hall, waterfront, commerical shoot, amazon salad bar and then hot bar at the other office, and... oh goddammit bad bunny too so you'll have to go do that. I'll bring some extra hands in for the rest" or whatever
Most of the job is just moving shelves of shit and fridges around labyrinth buildings and setting up a kitchen in loading bays of stadium. Good workout though, and plenty of good stories like I said

Beyonce wanted the whole green room white and I couldn't get the venue to do that so i was up at like 4am with my FoH wizard stapling fuzzy fabric to the goddamn walls.
Some are super chill, but either way doesn't bug me. Happy for the money and some of these people really are stars living in another universe. Whatever you want, I'm going to charge you for it but I'll get it done
Ed Sheeran was a funny one, he just wanted snacks and a Lego set lol
Here's an example of a rider:
https://preview.redd.it/3xm22fnormrg1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d24716c4fe43dd29bd2717d88da99664ec4a3413

3
PinchedTazerZ0Mar 27, 2026
+3
I don't sorry! I'm sure I saw it on the rider but we had a runner to do all the shopping and then FoH wizard would get everything set up in the band/artist rooms so I don't really have any need to go anywhere but whatever janky kitchen I set up and the green room.
I'd help muscle out mini fridges or whatever when we were getting trailer loaded back up but most of the stuff would be gone as whatever non local crew, band, and artist would already be on the buses headed to their next destination

Adele was the nicest. At the time she was massive but still did her own laundry, swung by catering to see if she could get her team to setup her machines at at the water lines and power we had setup lol. Thought that was neat
Pearl Jam's back to back shows in 2018 was great to watch. So much energy and love from the city that that was clearly reciprocated.
Days start at 5am to get crew and artist breakfast set up but dinner was done before the show, so the only reasonable "break" lined up with when the show started before getting driver meals done and then breaking down/cleanup. Watch from the wings backstage which is rad
Had to start saving the stickers/passes in a roadbox lol, was running out of room

One of which is not even a regular date, it’s a festival… Last time they did both Montreal and Quebec regular shows, so I was hoping we’d get a Montreal date now again despite the FEQ but alas no. :/// FEQ is also already sold out as well, so good luck for the Toronto date 🥲🙃

Ahh yes, the classic "North American Tour" where the only stops that aren't in the United States are in Toronto and Quebec. It would be nice if more bands would stop in Calgary once in awhile. Seems like even Vancouver gets snubbed these days.
Oh well, TBH they haven't released a good album in literally 20 years. After Black Holes and Revelations I haven't liked pretty much anything they have released. The two singles from the new album are pretty terrible too IMO.
Definitely not flying across the country to watch Muse.

Can someone enlighten me please? I just went to Muse's website and registered for a presale code and received an email from them saying presale starts Tuesday, March 31. However, StubHub is already selling tickets, saying less than 1% remaining. What's up with that? Does StubHub get a bunch of tickets they can sell before the presale starts or what?
I'm kinda torn if I should wait till the 31st, when they should be sending the presale code, or buy from StubHub now before they sell out.

Pretty sure those are ghost tickets, but idk. Stub Hub does shady shit.
