The heroine of Roman Holiday and Breakfast at Tiffany’s knew war and poverty, riches and fame, love and betrayal – yet claimed to have lived a ‘terribly boring’ life. Sean Hepburn Ferrer paints a very different picture in his new biography

Audrey Hepburn symbolized rebuilding foreign countries post-WWII. Roman Holiday had the very real impact of skyrocketing Vespa sells, which helped Italy get back on its feet. Audrey HEPBURN? Where else is 'Hepburn' used? Its a famous translation of Japanese to English. Would you believe that she was an absolute star in Japan? Causing many Japanese women to idolize her and become empowered by her? (Japanese women's rights jump-starting post war). Toyota doing for Japan much what the Vespa did to Italy.
