My weekly meal prep routine that actually saves money

Sunday: roast a chicken and use the carcass for stock. Cook a big batch of grains. Prep raw vegetables. Make one sauce or dressing. This takes about 2 hours and sets up 5 days of lunches and provides components for quick dinners. My grocery bill dropped about $200/month.
