Never seen Euphoria but heard some people describe it as a U.S. version of Skins. But there WAS a U.S. version of Skins, and it didn't do well

I don’t get what point you’re trying to make

I guess that an unidentified person on the internet allegedly made an imprecise comparison? For perhaps the first time ever?

No, I think I've seen that...at least one time before.

It’s bait. That’s all this is.

Having seen (most of) both, I wouldn't say it's anything like Skins at all beyond the fact that it features high school kids

disagree (at least for seasons 1 & 2 of euphoria- havent seen the new one yet) the shows are very similar. high schoolers using drugs, making stupid decisions that sometimes have very real and dire consequences, and seeing friendships start, stop, crumble as a result of all of that.

There are some similarities, however I would say the mood of the whole thing is totally different.

I wasn't into Euphoria hype but I do like Zendaya, she's undeniably charismatic and talented. So I gave it a go this week. To be fair, I really quite liked it. It's very "girly" but I guess that is zero f****** surprise and I really liked the S03 start. So yeah. Give it a go. It'll surprise you.

Euphoria is a big budget "prestige" drama made by the most respected network in the US for high quality. And managed to get a cast of actors who became huge right before they did. Skins US was on MTV, which is not that. MTV also tried and failed at The Inbetweeners. Both because of reputation and quality, MTV shows are rarely respected.
