Can't wait to see the commercials where they are trying to convince people that everything is gonna be ok when AI, robots and Self Driving cars scarf up all those pesky jobs.

AI PAC? Couldn't they come up with a different name? Anyways, the billionaires are advocating hard for this. Where are the people advocating for the workers who will ultimately be replaced? F*** the billionaire class.

So, it's foreign money for the purpose of controlling American regulations? This stuff has to be fixed, that's not suppose to work that way.

Apart from some actually useful niche applications in things like coding (even many caveats there), these transformer model LLM "ai" products serve basically no positive purpose for society.  They are being pushed as a tool for billionaire-totalitarians to undermine labor, build a massive, invasive surveillance state, and blur the lines of reality for the credulous. They are a tool of informational warfare against democracy. Orwell's Ministry of Truth operatives couldn't dream of a better weapon.  It's no surprise or coincidence that the GOP wants them totally unregulated, and the AI industry is fully supportive of fascists.

I can see AI agents giving legal advice/writing legal documents, analyzing your medical record and doing accounting/financial work EDIT: You are assuming billionaires have to control the AI agents

These transformer model agents have no place in any industry or endeavor where consistent factual accuracy matters. They fabricate responses (hallucination), and that is intrinsic to the models. People are already letting LLMs prep legal briefs and they completely fabricate case law. God forbid you let them have any form of control, or, frankly, even advisory capacity in things like energy production facilities, water/waste treatment facilities. One fabrication that isn't identified and corrected by a real human expert could result in an actual calamity. And medical records?! Asinine in the extreme...  Security and privacy concerns abound, and same issues as far as fabrication. When the LLM fabricates diagnostic or treatment information and it slips past a human user, it will kill people. And billionaires and massive corpos _do_ and _will continue_ to control these, because of the enormous capex required to train and operate them. And they _will_ all run as subscription services. End-users will _never_ own them, or the data that passes through them.  They are nothing short of a total catastrophe waiting to happen  For individuals, for the economy, for the environment, and for democracy.

"These transformer model agents have no place in any industry or endeavor where consistent factual accuracy matters." I have used various professionals - lawyers, accountants and architects. None of their work was 100% accurate or even close to it. My experience was the architect was the worst. "And billionaires and massive corpos *do* and *will continue* to control these, because of the enormous capex required to train and operate them" Governments do have the money. Even if American government does not, regimes outside USA have all the incentive to build their own
