Campy would be more innovative in CURRENT_YEAR.

I was going to say. Can you go darker than Craig’s bond and not abandon what Fleming was trying to do with the series? I’m honestly curious because I’ve not read the books but I remember some saying Craig’s bond is the furthest from the book version in some ways.

Was Daniel Craig not the darker Bond? I'd kind of prefer a return to the campier tone of the Moore movies, but if we're going even darker...sheesh, things are about to get depressing.

The ending is literally him left with 2 depressing options and he chooses the more depressing one.

Daniel Craig's bond was a ptsd afflicted alcoholic who struggle in the art of subtlety

Whatever route they go, can we please return to STAND-ALONE-FILMS: I don't want a storyline that follows Bond through the entire run. Return to the standard formula. But you just know theyre thinking expanded universe, with streaming series spin-offs and prequels.

I really liked Timothy Dalton Bond. Hope we get more of that.

Maybe we can get him back?

He’s 80. That would be funny 😁. But hey maybe he could play M. I just really liked the more serious tone of his movies.

Well what the f*** was all that Daniel Craig stuff, then?

Cast Jonathan Bailey and give us a jaunty 60s period piece full of espionage and intrigue. I’m not in the mood for a series of action packed techno thrillers full of explosions and VFX. Please spare us a story centered on AI or whatever some Amazon exec is interested in.

I saw rumors about Jacob Elordi, Wagner Moura, Jean Dujardin

I’ve had enough trauma Bond. Let’s get back to having cool, composed bond who enjoys his work and has fun foiling his foe’s plans. I don’t was 5 more British Jason Bourne movies.

While I think C***** Royale and Skyfall may very well be the 2 best bond films ever made, along with Goldeneye, I am dying to see a campy comedic bond again.. I am not sure if they have what it takes to make films like that anymore though, since the 2000s I feel like we don’t see it much. And with Denis Villeneuves history, I am not sure how likely we are to see a less dark bond, or anything it might go even more serious and ”epic”.

Undoubtedly. You don’t hire Denis for camp

Darker the better imo. I couldn’t stand the old camp James.

Hey everyone has their own tastes. But Daniel Craig's Bond was just a series based on copying other movies and characters. A campy Bond would be more interesting at this point compared to the "I'm a god, but I want people to see me as a sad boy" method we endure for 15+ years. Dark Bond feels more indulgent and lazy after all of that.

Daniel Craig’s movies started really strong with Hotel Royale and then kind of fizzled. There were some great set pieces, but the films themselves felt pretty weak.

I enjoyed C***** Royale. Skyfall was good, but it felt like when his Bond should have ended, and every subsequent one after was just like watching someone do CPR on a corpse.

No Time To Die is honestly pretty great as well. Much better than Spectre and arguably Quantum of Solace too.

Clickbait article. We already had a "dark 007", and that was spawned by Austin Powers taking the piss out of James Bond. Then we had James Bond pretending he was Jason Bourne. Then we had James Bond inspired by The Dark Knight series. If they don't make a cheeky James Bond movie, it's gonna flop.

Depends what you mean by dark. Like Idris Elba? Or Marilyn Manson?

Pedro Pascal.
