He says something popular and counter to a position that he traditionally holds, people stop to listen, and then he spends the next few weeks/months slow walking them to red pill territory. That said, I’d give my left nut to hear my parents say what Tucker had said, that they regret what they supported and have to reckon with their culpability in it. Except Tucker knew exactly what he was doing, but now he sees the end and doesn't think it will be pretty. Carlson, and people like him are greatly responsible for what this country has turned into. Tucker seems authentic here, and I genuinely applaud him for it. He doesn't have much to gain at this point. Trump is still the Messiah to a lot of people, and nothing is going to change that. But someone like Tucker might actually move the needle, someone who truly believed and eventually had to come to terms with being wrong.
