She’s absolutely right to tear into Tucker Carlson this way, with the damage he has wrought. That said, I’d give my left nut to hear my parents say what Tucker had said, that they regret what they supported and have to reckon with their culpability in it. Tucker is absolutely a grifter and he wouldn’t be saying these kinds of words in public if he wasn’t scheming for his next grift. The issue is that the words themselves were correct and I WISH friends and family that I lost to the Trump cult would say them.

We all know he is a fraud. His.MAGA followers are listening to him and having some sort of influence on them I’m sure, I think this is a good thing, the only good thing that he is doing. He’s lying through his teeth, but they don’t care. They listen to anything.

The people that left Trump are only doing so because they want him to focus on white supremacy and oppressing Black people.  He is still the figurehead of these things, but they don’t see it anymore since he is bending over backwards for Israel and trying to make his main thing optically war with Iran.  

According to the texts Tucker sent back in his Fox days, he knew perfectly well what Trump was and what part he played.

He’s setting himself as an anti-Trump, anti-war presidential candidate. These people shamelessly and opportunistically earlier latched on to Trump despite his worst transgressions, but they’re reading the signs and setting themselves up to profit opportunistically from an anti-Trump backlash among the right. So, obviously not great people. But if they help us shoot down MAGA and add to the anti-Trump momentum, great.

The dude has offered an apology. At least he was man enough to step up. As far as what Tucker is due, not sure who decides that, maybe God, but remember, it’s silly ass politics. Tucker seems authentic here, and I genuinely applaud him for it. He doesn't have much to gain at this point. Trump is still the Messiah to a lot of people, and nothing is going to change that. But someone like Tucker might actually move the needle, someone who truly believed and eventually had to come to terms with being wrong.
