...at my workplace today, and it was so nice!
For many years, I have tried to stay at home on April 1st, stay offline, and not interact with people. I find the whole April Fool's thing uncomfortable and confusing, and mean people use it as a way to ridicule others. But I had a shift at work today.
But it seems that the younger generations do it much less.
I am the oldest at my workplace at 47. April Fool's was referenced today, but no one pranked each other or me. They want no part in it, just like me.
I realised when I came home how relieved I was about that.
Happy April 2nd, everyone!
I did!!
It was a good one, and it worked!
I teach an online cert class in govt regulation. It's a 2 day course with an exam.
This morning I said "About the exam: It is a 100 question exam. There are a combination of multiple choice, true/false, and a narrative essay section. You have to get 90% or higher to pass."
(Pause)
"Just kidding. It's 24 questions, multiple choice, and you only need 70% or better.".
😆😆😆

It's kind of become passe. I haven't seen anyone doing April Fool's day pranks in decades.
