And then it was the only job he ever had :); he’s still doing it today!

He’s still played the best Steve Jobs IMO.

The turn that weirdo pitt fandom did on Noah Wyle should be written about honestly. It’s wild.

Cosmic_Gumbo Apr 18, 2026 +12
I’m unfamiliar with this. The Pitt already has a rabid fanbase?

TootieSummers Apr 18, 2026 +34
There are no less than 4 Pitt sublistnooks and I’ve muted every single one. Wander at your own risk

Cosmic_Gumbo Apr 18, 2026 +6
I’m more or less curious why they’ve turned on Noah Wyle.

Basically two characters have been written out (one each season) that happened to both be women of color (mind you additional ones have been added for season 2 and the upcoming 3) but this somehow as turned exec producer Wyle into POC Woman hater mediocre white man who wants the spotlight to himself (mind you he was always the star and focus of the show). I hate that I typed all of this but this is what’s happening and why I had to mute all the Pitt subs and basically not participate in any discussion anymore even though I’m a fan of the show.

Listnook is known for rage bait. Even the Gilmore Girls’ sub has problems.

Holy shit. I thank you for it. Loud people in general annoy me, but loud people on the internet are a special kind of toxic.

Ok, so they're not actually fans, just toxic assholes abusing fandom to vomit their hatred.

Yeah and they’re here downvoting people 🤣

I don’t believe in the whole “poc woman hater”, but he is definitely really, really enjoying the spotlight. Like shit, didn’t an article drop yesterday that had him quoted with “season 3 is going to revolve heavily around Robby hitting rock bottom”? Season 2 has just spent a *significant* amount of time teasing and then confronting the planned suicide of Robby, and the day of the finale, he comes out to hint at how next season is just going to be even more? The best parts of the show are the student-patient moments, because they just naturally work as great audience perspectives, and then the competency p*** from the veterans. It feels weird that the only real through line connecting all 3 seasons is Robby battling with his trauma in season 1, Robby battling with his trauma in season 2, and Robby getting ready to battle with more trauma in season 3. And for a show that prides itself on having a relatively close to realistic exploration of the ED..like if we’re real here, the level of emotional instability he is dealing with, his snapping at every other doctor throughout the season, him making public displays in raising issues with other staff? He can ignore the sabbatical because he’d be on paid leave for an investigation into his ability to run the ED. Love the show, hate the fandom, very displeased with the direction we went with season 2, and season 3 appears to be doubling down on it.

lol Robby isn’t even close to the average toxic doc in academia. From: a doc in academia

It’s like that with everything now.  No one can accept something for what it is, and everyone has their own opinions on how THEY SHOULD DO IT.

Idk because the second season hasn’t even finished airing and it’s a standard medical drama.

Good thing he got the job. Wyle is the connective tissue for the whole show, and it would read very different if another actor got it and dipped 5 years later.

Would you say he... sets the tone?

Noah Wyle showing up late and still nailing it is peak “right guy, right time.” Honestly, I’d watch a doc that’s just ER casting stories.

Does the publicity department for this show ever sleep?

"I too am surprised that the publicity department for The Pitt is highly active the week of the show's second season finale. I cannot imagine any reason why they would not be doing this level of publicity right now. What am I missing?"
