I hope he brings us a little Elijah from Girls

I’m just happy Adam Brody is being employed with this show. Need him in more stuff.

I want to see his Wife landing more roles

keving87 Apr 9, 2026 +4
She had a show on CW but it was filmed in Australia, which probably presented some complications, and was cancelled. She was also on a few episodes of The Buccaneers... but yeah it'd be nice if she was on more.

Maybe if she and Sarah Michelle Gellar combined forces they could unleash enough power to get a reeeaaaally good project made and stay booked and busy like they deserve

Love him. I'm also obsessed with Justine Lupe and Timothy Simons in this

I love the cast of this show, but the show really sucks, the writing, the comedy, the drama, the characters all just suck

stoicsports Apr 9, 2026 +23
Season 1 as a standalone is great imo, solid rom-com-dram plot line and well done

JaxTango Apr 9, 2026 +6
Right? It’s an insane waste of an excellent cast. I just watch this show to watch them interact since the plot itself isn’t going anywhere.

SmallLetter Apr 9, 2026 +1
Some of it kinda sucks but overall I've enjoyed it and I don't like almost anything new

Just gimme more Jonah that's all I ask

I watched the first season. There were parts I liked, but what I really didn't was the portrayal of all Jewish women to as overcontrolling and marriage obsessed harpies who make men miserable, in contrast with the refreshing, uber laid back cool girl who can't help but sweep the Jewish guy off his feet and free him from their clutches.

Signal_Reputation640 Apr 9, 2026 +28
So you didn't like the whole premis of the show. LOL.

ExMOnotwiththeflow Apr 9, 2026 +10
The premise was fine. It didn't need the stereotyping.

Ragnar_Dragonfyre Apr 9, 2026 +6
You didn’t really give it enough of a chance then because divorce and breakup is a strong theme too. My wife watches this show and I got sucked in myself. The “uber laid back cool girl” needs to convert for the Rabbi guy and she’s a hot mess of non-commitment. Season 2 focuses on this part a lot more and it really isn’t clear that cool girl and Rabbi guy are gonna make it. I’m married into a Jewish family and have seen these stereotypes myself. They’re pretty common, that’s why they’re stereotypes.

Aka the show with people in their 40s who try to look like they're in their 30s, act like they're in their 20s, and have the mentality of teenagers

I thought this was fine for the first season, to drive conflict, ya know? But Season 2 upped the ante to the point that this statement makes too much sense now. The main characters became caricatures while the supporting cast got fleshed out more, which is a weird accident. They seriously need to fix this in Season 3.

clycoman Apr 9, 2026 +28
Doesn't help that s2 was almost a repeat of s1 - the characters ended the season in almost the exact same place.  "I can't be with you because im not ready to convert yet, let's break up, but I love you and we can make this work! I'll convert now for you."

LB3PTMAN Apr 9, 2026 +26
Season 2 literally just felt like a rehash of the first season for most of it. “Oh idk if we can be together because my religion”

MyrddinSidhe Apr 9, 2026 +5
I liked season one, but when they reset everything the first ep of season two, I lost interest.

No it didn't. He's a Rabbi for shit's sake lol. He chose her in spite of the inconvenience/conflict he knew marrying a non Jew would cause in his life and for his career. And now they're living some of that conflict, and it's a lot easier to make a big proclamation than to live it.
6
AgentElman Apr 9, 2026 +2
Yep, S2 felt like The Force Awakens.
2
thatshygirl06 Apr 9, 2026 +2
The main characters were the exact same as they were in season 1. There was literally no change.

JaqenHghar Apr 9, 2026 +1
Didn’t even finish S2. Got to the Halloween ep and it became insufferable.

Stephen_Gawking Apr 9, 2026 +16
I keep asking myself how old they think we should think Kristen bell is for exactly this reason.
16
lalalandbeforetime Apr 9, 2026 +9
They’re supposed to be late 30s which just does not translate to how they’re acting.
9
Chataboutgames Apr 9, 2026 +13
But they're supposed to be relatively immature for their ages, just kinda doing a podcast and partying in LA.
13
lalalandbeforetime Apr 9, 2026 +2
I still think they’re acting younger than their age. I live in LA, am younger than the characters, and don’t know anyone as immature as them.
2
nonsensestuff Apr 9, 2026 +1
Then consider yourself lucky. Cause immature and self absorbed people are plentiful in LA (source: me, lived there for almost a decade)
1
thatshygirl06 Apr 9, 2026 +11
There are people their age in real life who act like teens.
11
Dapaaads Apr 9, 2026 +9
Have you hung out with late 30s people? This show isn’t far off
9
lalalandbeforetime Apr 9, 2026 +5
I’m early 30s in LA and don’t know anyone this immature. I believe they exist but it’s just not my experience.
5
Dapaaads Apr 9, 2026 +1
It’s more stupidly selfish more than immature. People don’t think beyond themselves

LongjumpingChart6529 Apr 9, 2026 +11
Thank you for summing up why this show felt weird! I couldn’t put my finger on it!
11
RealSunglassesGuy Apr 9, 2026 +11
I still enjoy it though.

bitchbanana Apr 9, 2026 +2
45 year olds seriously discussing whether to have kids or not and not adopting was wild. Like ok, maybe you’ll have a kid at 46-47?? Lmao
2
Old-Way-5529 Apr 10, 2026 +2
it def feels like this show was written for people in their 30s its hard for me to buy that a rabbi in his 40s would get freaked out when his longtime GF wants to marry him- how has that not been discussed before, especially when they dated for years lol.

attheeve Apr 9, 2026 -3
Hence the title, *Nobody Wants This*

IndignantHoot Apr 9, 2026 +25
Sarah Silverman will play a quirky character? Now I've seen everything.

Quick-Time Apr 9, 2026 +8
I’m interested in seeing what Avan Jogia will bring to the show.

Signal_Reputation640 Apr 9, 2026 +19
"Sarah Silverman" - and I'm out.

SpiritedTechnician63 Apr 9, 2026 +4
Yep they lost me. I’m a champion of the all Jewish people aren’t Zionists argument against anti-semitism. But when Zionists are platformed and protected, they’re making a pretty clear stance.

Exciting_Marzipan_19 Apr 9, 2026 +5
I hope Kayla plays Maria Sofia Estrada again.
5
fcatw Apr 9, 2026 +4
This show should have ended after season 1. These people are old and pretending like they’re in their 20’s, but this entire show is just boring. How many seasons can you tell the same boring story about this girl that doesn’t want to convert to Judaism for the “cool rabbi” that fkks and does drugs lol

FanofK Apr 9, 2026 +2
This will be the first time I’ve seen Sadie Sandler in something that’s not her father’s
2
ALRTMP Apr 9, 2026 +1
Season 2 was unbearable. Pass
1
Razzler1973 Apr 9, 2026
That's a hell of a lot of new people for a show that doesn't really have a huge class to begin with

GregSays Apr 9, 2026 +1
They're unlikely to all be in multiple episodes

AndrewHeard Apr 9, 2026 +1
Absolutely love this show and I can’t wait to see where it goes. The most ironically named show.

bananaslug178 Apr 9, 2026 +1
Stephanie Koenig is an awful human being. Season 2 was already disappointing but now I'm definitely out.

RIP The English Teacher. Could've been the funniest show on TV
