Why even bother? He's on a deportation list. Just send the guy to Germany and everyone is better off. Appealing it just costs a bunch of money for basically no reason, and I'm sure he'd rather be in a country that didn't imprison him.

Has ND not passed anything about limiting payouts for such things like some other states have? It's wild they'd rather try to limit the awards for damages resulting from these types of situations as opposed to doing literally anything from stopping wrongful convictions in the first place but hey that conviction rate isn't going to raise itself, is it?
