Well, this one's clearly with a nuclear threat. Trump's gonna go bomb them right? Oh wait they didn't have oil in North Korea. Shucks, gotta just leave them to develop WMDs I guess.

They already have nukes that's why no one bombs them.

Well Iran doesn’t have nukes that’s the problem. Quite frankly with Russia and the USA being trigger happy, having a nuclear deterrent is going to be more and more valuable

Why bother...more WMDs is also a problem for China...also North Korea is continuing to ignore the basic needs of feeding its people for this

Why would it be a problem for China? Who do you think is supplying North Korea with the knowledge and materials needed for their nuclear program.

Because a mad dictator may not necessarily be so rational at every point and having a nuclear armed neighbor is always a threat

This is why Trump’s excuses are so thin. All Iran has to do (and may have done already!) is provide NK with the fissile material and pay for the production of the weapon. Why isn’t NK pounding the table due to oil shortages?

Considering what happened with Iran, I will be surprised if a country isn't considering acquiring or boosting its nuclear arms program.

it's unfortunate. But the world seems to operate on MAD doctrine. At this point look at the multi year damage to Ukraine. Way more devastation in both human life and capital haven been lost in the war compare to the risk of rouge nuclear weapon going off. Small nation seems to only have nuclear deterrent as the only way to fend off way larger nation. TBH I think EU should give back Ukraine its nuke if it really want to an end to the war.
