I mean can you really blame him? It's really hard these days to make real friends. If you show up to the park are you gonna be empty handed or you gonna bring a basketball?

Fat boy Kim feels ignored

It's his weapon of choice.

It is hilarious that NK is made out to be one of the biggest bad guys around but they literally always just sit around and fire missiles into the water and are never invited to war.

Why not it’s clear there’s only one deterrent against US aggression every country should start building a nuclear program
17
Kiloku Mar 15, 2026 +2
Any country that tries becomes an immediate target for the US. They might be distracted at the moment but it's still risky which is why no one wants to try. NK only managed it because they're in China's sphere of influence and China wouldn't take kindly to an attack on them, despite China not really liking NK.

OvenIcy8646 Mar 15, 2026 +10
I have a feeling chinas sphere of influence is gonna be a lot bigger after this

FeeHot5876 Mar 14, 2026 +18
I’m convinced NK acts out when it’s feeling left out. Oh there’s a war stealing all the headlines? Better fire off a few missiles. Little brother behavior

I do the same thing in my neighborhood with fireworks. People here celebrate with fireworks for any occasion. When they are done I set off one bottle rocket. I have fireworks too.
5
the__solitaire Mar 15, 2026 +4
I'm convinced NK needs to do that so the US don't get too comfortable to try attacking them. I mean, US navy seals killed NK citizens for no reason

From the Sky News article: >**North Korea has fired missiles into the sea in response to a United States military exercise.** >Around 10 ballistic missiles were fired from near Pyongyang's international airport on Saturday as a show of force after a joint military exercise between US and South Korea. >They flew around 220 miles before landing in the Sea of Japan, South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said. >It came just hours after South Korean Prime Minister Kim Min-seok met with President Donald Trump in Washington.

This happened while I was there in like 2015. Seems to happen every so often. The shit they put each other through at the DMZ is almost comical.

In other news, North Korea confirms Godzilla dead at Marvelous Leaders own orders of firing missiles into the sea, Earth saved.

Didn’t know that ballistic missiles can land on the sea.

The same sanctimonious hypocrisy they use against the middle east…

FeeHot5876 Mar 14, 2026 +2
Your average American doesn’t “hate” NK. The US government doesn’t really “hate” them either, they are a rogue hermit kingdom with nukes. They will always be a threat to the US allies in the region. I also take issue with your characterization of comparing the human rights abuses of NK to the US and Israel. I highly suggest you read up on NK society and abuses and how they system works there because that comparisons is extremely surface level and shows there’s much you don’t know

Kim jong un isn’t getting the attention so lashes out like a toddler. “Look at me damnit!”

WaffleHouseGladiator Mar 15, 2026
Spoiled only child behavior.  Everyone else is all excited with the latest war, but Kimmy is getting ignored, so he has to do something to get attention.

Eventually, Japan is going to get fed up with North Korea launching missiles into its waters. They already condemned the launch.
-5
DogWarovich Mar 14, 2026 +5
And what will Japan do then? Cry?
5
Pale-Factor-8574 Mar 14, 2026 -12
Nato. Even if it's just Japan working through Seoul by proxy, North Korea would not last long. Jong Un has never been through actual warfare.
-12
atlantasmokeshop Mar 14, 2026 +10
You don't understand the DMZ at ALL. The amount of missiles NK has aimed at SK, they'd flatten their cities in minutes. ESPECIALLY considering the US just moved their interceptors from there to the Middle East.
10
Pale-Factor-8574 Mar 14, 2026 -7
Sk's got more than enough to intercept missiles from a naval position. Did you notice they didn't ask the USA to return the interceptors? There's a reason for that.
-7
atlantasmokeshop Mar 14, 2026 +6
LOL, yea... that's definitely the reason. They gonna shoot down shells with interceptors too considering how close the largest city in their country is to the DMZ?
6
Pale-Factor-8574 Mar 14, 2026
According to Lee, their president, the USA removing the interceptors won't hinder SK's defense systems. It means radar and a mix of naval/air defense if NK gets trigger happy. It's just a question of SK targeting accurately. NK doesn't have the resources to go through a prolonged conflict. After the first few waves are shot down, NK would be faced with continuing and losing most or all of its remaining defensive capabilities to press an assault. Jong Un is only saber rattling as usual because he still somewhat has to look like he's responding to aggression. But he does not have the capability or resources to maintain an actual war. It'd be regime suicide.

clinodev Mar 15, 2026 +5
What else can Lee say, really? I'm sure "We're fucked! Pray our enemies stay their hand!" wouldn't go down well. Kim Jong Un is helping Trump destroy American leadership in the region. Actually prosecuting the war isn't in his interest, but reminding RoK and Japan that they're in very fickle hands can only benefit him.
5
beefstake Mar 15, 2026 +1
Seoul is within range of conventional artillery batteries, they don't even need missiles to completely flatten it and with it like 50% of SK population. There is a very good reason why they don't actually fight NK.
1
thebestnames Mar 14, 2026 +3
North Korea will then demolish Seoul with artillery or maybe nukes, and we'll be as shocked as we were when Iran blocked Hormuz. I mean who could have guessed?
3
Pale-Factor-8574 Mar 14, 2026 +1
Artillery shelling is possible. Jong Un would have allowed himself to be pressured into firing a nuke ready, if NK was capable. Japan has one of the most capable naval forces in the world. They've been developing anti-ballistic capabilities since 2020. They'd probably just use an SK ship to avoid the appearance of aggression. Pyongyang would get leveled.
