We joke about them bombing the ocean, but I don’t believe they are test launching missiles for no reason. I am a big dummy but launching them and then calculating how far and fast they go gives them a pretty good idea of how they could act in a serious scenario. It would be silly to launch a test missile directly at a country to see if it could. It’s better to act as a paper tiger when they know they aren’t.

I take them as an actual threat. Why else had no one tried them? If iran had their own nukes they would only would want to protect their own people and interests. Not immediately destroy the US.
