Everyone that develops weapons are always testing. You just don't hear about it. The US tends to do very low key tests since they dont care about the propaganda. For example, the aim-178b which is a modified sm-6 wasnt known to be in development until it suddenly showed up on planes being already deployed to the fleet. Japan is another one that tends to keep it low key but is actually fairly advance in terms of equipment.

Both US and Japan make their tests higher profile than the PRC. For the PLA it’s the norm for new weapons to suddenly appear out of nowhere. Only recently did they start to do more test flights during day time.

Trump and the Hormuz strait. China watching because of the Taiwan strait. North Korea might just be involved if anything happens in Taiwan.

This seems to be a very convenient timing. It’s almost as they are posturing on behalf of another super power

For the uninitiated, a cruise missile is typically quite large and expensive, but it's all you can eat buffets 24-hours.
