Interesting that both Hudson Williams and Francois Arnaud are nominated for Lead Performer.
Francois was top-billing during the first season because, at the time the show aired, he as the most well-known on the cast, and he is the lead for episode 3 (though in my view, I actually think Robbie G.K is just as much of a lead, and should have been nominated). I think Francois should submit for supporting in future awards for the season.
That being said, this really is Hudson’s to lose. Happy for everyone nominated!

Yeah I would have put him as supporting if they could have. Especially if you put him right next to Hudson the scale of the role just does not compare at all.

We're currently in Iqaluit—aka. "Ice Cove", the northernmost city in Canada—shooting our second season 😉
Season 2 will premiere in Canada on APTN, CBC and Netflix and the rest of the world on Netflix later in 2026.
If you'd like to stay in the loop on all things related to our show, keep your eyes peeled to the [**r/NorthOfNorthSeries**](https://www.reddit.com/r/NorthOfNorthSeries/) subreddit where we plan to drop exclusive updates and content in the coming months. Unless of course the r/television mods let us do the same in this subreddit too...

Justice for Connor Storrie for being ineligible for a Canadian Screen award because he isn’t Canadian, but ineligible for an Emmy because the show is Canadian.
Also why is always so hard for articles like these to JUST.GIVE.A.LIST of the nominations…

Go on the CSA website. They have full list and it’s downloadable. The list is huge. They cover all tv not just dramas and comedy. There are news and sports as well as all the technical awards

How does that work? Schitt’s Creek was a Canadian show and it won several Emmys for its final season.

I believe it had an American production company behind it.
HR was all Canadian

Yup. There were articles pointing this out as the reason for the Emmy ineligibilty when the show blew up. Unless the Emmy make changes for it to be eligible, Heated Rivalry is out of the Primetime Emmy consideration. Season 2 is looking to be in the same track as HBO declined to get involve with the production.
However, it does have a chance in the International Emmy which is not as a prestigious but would still be great to be recognized.

Schitt’s Creek became a co-production with Pop, which is American, in its second season.
