Same princess whose oldest son is facing 30+ charges including r*** and domestic violence against more than 4 women. Princess is accused of warning him and helping tamper with evidence and witnesses…

People of privilege are above the law. Until we change that lower 90% of the people on this planet will suffer in some way.

boopthatbutton Mar 20, 2026 +143
This is why I fkn hate monarchies. Those people feel entitled. And when they see sh*t being done at the expense of common folks, they turn a blind eye and shut their mouths or in this case, cry victim.

KnownMonk Mar 20, 2026 +65
King Harald and Queen Sonja should be the last ones. King Harald has been a kind king and has as far as we know no history of trouble or done any illegal shit, and queen Sonja has been alright as queen. When i heard Haakon and Mette-Marit on radio and how Haakon defended Mette-Marit in everything i felt disgusted that he is going to inherit a royal title with her as a queen beside him. Had this been done by any of us we would lose our jobs and maybe be put in jail.

what's even worse is this b**** wasn't even part of it. she had the worst possible past, married into it and fucked up ever since. its like when people gain a certain amount of money or social status they take leave of their senses

Well, statistically, it’s been that way for 100% of civilization’s existence - so I’m gonna go out on a limb and say we will continue to suffer.

Nah, She was terrible long before she became part of the royal family and rich, when she was just a poor waitress and lived in public housing, half her family were in prison and she was in a relationship with a drug dealer Ironically her story is very much rags to riches, and clearly given all we know now she’s always been terrible

You should be way higher. Always this 'The privileged get away with everything' bs. Yes they do and there are some horrible specimens among them, but do you know how many bottom feeders get away with horrible shit?

In the case of the crown princess, she is literally above the law and answers only to the king.
32
CaptainCoffa Mar 20, 2026 +44
The monarchy in Norway is symbolic. They are not above the law, but unfortunately, they are also rich.
44
Ryokan76 Mar 20, 2026 +12
What are you talking about? Read the constitution. They are literally above the law and can't be accused of crimes. And for being European royalty, they're not that rich either.
12

Only the king has absolute immunity.

Why are there even still monarchs in this day and age? The only monarch I would respect is one that abdicates their title and becomes a regular civilian.
14
VoiceOfRealson Mar 20, 2026 +20
A neutered monarch like the ones in scandinavia is better than an unhinged President. It is far from ideal, but that is the logic behind keeping the monarchies. We might as well make the position a yearly l****** though.
20
Wel98 Mar 20, 2026 +8
Norway has a perfectly functional apparatus of state without the monarch though, right? A monarch, even neutered and entirely symbolic is still a sign of a bygone age. In an ideal society nobody would be elevated to fame or fortune through blood alone. Giving monarchy/royals a break sort of defeats those ideals and leads to abuse like we see here; where she can be associated with a known child rapist and still get to do news articles crying about how she's a victim instead of being put in prison
8
AmethystApothecary Mar 20, 2026 +13
Loooook I hate Trump and I think there should have been more obstacles that prevented him from running as he's a felon and unqualified. Definitely not saying America has it right. Just think the monarchy is also still bad and wrong.

Note: shes crown-princess by marriage and said oldest son is from a previous relationship and thus not in the line of succession so no worries about him becoming King. From what I recall having looked into this a while back, she is very unpopular with Norwegians, meanwhile her husband is decently popular with the main complaint being hes married to her. Both of the royal kids are also generally well regarded. Kinda an interesting situation overall where if the Norwegian Monarchy can make it to Princess Ingrid I think itll last a decent while longer, but Im not sure it makes it to her
33

Holy shit. I looked at a related BBC article about the case: >Høiby has admitted some of the lesser offences, and after his arrest admitted physical abuse and destroying objects. The indictment alleges he tore down a chandelier, threw a knife at the wall and shattered a mirror, calling the woman words such as w****. >The four r*** charges date from 2018, at his parents' official residence on the Skaugum estate outside Oslo, to November 2024, after his initial arrest. One of the four, dating back to 2023, involves intercourse while the woman was asleep. The other three also involve sexual assault while the women were incapacitated, which also counts as r*** in Norway.

His trial ended yesterday by the way. Sentence will be announced in June. The court wants 7½ years. Before you go all Batongaville, we don't add up and accumulate all sentences on top of each other, rather we take it all as a whole.

Bullshit. He died in 2019. You had SIX YEARS to say something, anything. Instead, you stayed silent because you KNEW what was happening. You all knew. You got outed and that's the only reason you are trying to play the victim card. None of you high profile people deserve any praise. You all stayed SILENT until you were outed. You were enablers and pedo protectors. I don't believe in God personally and you may evade justice in life, I'd be worried about the afterlife. You helped the abuse of the most vulnerable people on this Earth, children.

Also, it seems Haakon was aware of he contact with Epstein and even met him, so they are covering and lying to the Norwegian people who are supporting their lavish lifestyle through taxes.
22
JackBlackBowserSlaps Mar 20, 2026 +51
I don’t believe there is any justice after death. Everyone goes to the same place. We must create justice here on earth if we wish to see any done.

Actual question.. can the Monarchy be abolished under Norwegian law? And are they just leeches like the UK monarchy or do they provide any value to Norway?
53

I don't think the French had a legal justification for ending their monarchies, but they still managed.

If the monarchy is to end in Norway the constitution has to change. There was a "vote" last year in the Norwegian parliament about if there even should be put into motion an abolishment of the monarchy, but it was voted down. The support for monarchy in Norway is going down, it was at 60% this year from 74% in 2024. It will be interesting to see what happens after king Harald dies and how it will affect the support. Haakons daughter princess Ingrid Alexandra enjoys lots of support by the people, she is very charismatic.
25
araed Mar 20, 2026 +7
There seems to be a wave of Republican sentiment at the minute. I'm of the opinion that foreign agents are influencing this by manipulating online communities to destabilise the governments. It seems strangely coincidental that this has been exploding after Brexit, and after multiple other "leave the EU" campaigns collapsed miserably.
7
YesNoIDKtbh Mar 20, 2026 +24
King Harald absolutely provides value to Norway. In practical terms he's our most important diplomat. As for abolishing the monarchy, yes it can be done. It requires changing the constitution, which requires 2/3 majority in the parliament across two parliament periods, if I'm not mistaken. It has been suggested several times before but never been close to going through.
24
MumrikDK Mar 21, 2026 +2
> or do they provide any value to Norway? The Scandinavian monarchies are like mascots. We can send them around as goodwill ambassadors instead of wasting politicians' time. They're also part of our history. Whether they overall bring profit or deficit, I don't know, but they *are* useful.
2
Francois_the_cat Mar 20, 2026 +37
To be quite frank, the Prince is showing poor judgement as well. I didn't know about her past until this whole Epstein debacle, but does it befit a king to marry a drug-addicted single mum? Love and all that, but as you put it: > the thought of these people representing Norway is nauseating
37
sabedo Mar 20, 2026 +7
magical v***** does things to a MF I don't know how its so good to this guy, who literally could have almost any woman he wanted and he picks the clapped out junkie party girl who had a child with a drug dealer and that son raped half the women in oslo
7

Given her Epstein connection, I bet he has some weird fetishes and she was the only woman with low enough self esteem to do whatever he wants.
5
squintismaximus Mar 20, 2026 +4
Who cares who he marries and what struggles she had in her past? Might not look great, but you know what’s worse? Diddling kids. Rather have an addict with a kid than a kid diddler. You don’t diddle kids.

Female abusers have been getting away with their crime or least receiving lenience by playing the "I'm just an innocent weak minded woman as equally as incapable of evil thoughts as I am resisting the will of ~~my accomplice~~ ~~my patsy~~ a man." since the dawn of civilization. Not that they are secretly more prevalent than male abusers or anything but certainly much more than people tend to think.

myasterism Mar 20, 2026 +106
This is NOT meant as a defense of anyone, I’m just curious: if it’s taken THIS MUCH global pressure and this much time just to get any sort of movement on this case, what exactly should she have been expected to “do about” what she knew, besides distance herself? Again, I’m absolutely not defending anyone, and I’m also not giving you attitude. It just really seems like the guy was astonishingly influential, and because the tales are so gruesome and horrific they sound like fiction, it’s hard to imagine what she realistically could have done, beyond distancing herself. Honestly, the grim nature of the situation is what hits me harder than one woman’s refusal to try to be a superhero about it. Sometimes walking away is the only path to relative redemption.
106
Professional_Set4137 Mar 20, 2026 +64
Half the f****** outrage is that this entire class of people get away with whatever they want while there are good samaritan laws all over the world that would have turned any of us into criminals if we didn't report. I hate your excuse.
64
Which_Produce4418 Mar 20, 2026 +34
Yeah, but she also didn't anonymously tip anyone off. Her scruples are not concerned with victims
34
iSavedtheGalaxy Mar 20, 2026 +63
Also she's royalty, not some regular person. She has more resources to "do something" than the average person. I'm getting tired of all these comically wealthy and powerful people with the access to commit appalling crimes are suddenly acting as if they are lacking resources and protection when it comes to reporting child abuse.
63
ABC_Dildos_Inc Mar 20, 2026 +24

She's f****** royalty, she is perhaps in the best position in the world to blow the lid off everything. She already has the influence and spotlight. She wouldn't lose her position or money, and she'd have great security.
19
TheGlassHammer Mar 20, 2026 +3
She’s a princess. I feel like the government of Norway would’ve at least investigated if she said something. It’s not like it was Lucy working at a McDonald’s found out about the pedophile ring. F*** off with that devils advocate BS
3
SkiingAway Mar 20, 2026 +16
It's possible to have a bad feeling about someone or something and still not really know anything/have anything of substance to back it up. Hard to "do anything about it" in those situations but you still might not want to be involved with that person further. That said, this apology that's not naming the close acquaintance she knew him through and doesn't give any actual explanation of what the uneasy "situation" she encountered was, isn't really sufficient to give that kind of a charitable read of things.
16
erlendig Mar 20, 2026 +10
Yeah, there is also no evidence of her knowing enough to have anything big to expose. The main scandal is that she seems to have been flirting or possibly cheating with Epstein, and that she didn't distance herself earlier when (likely) knowing that he was accused of bad things. She admitted in yesterdays interview that she witnessed Epstein blackmailing someone, and that he had done something that made her feel uncomfortable, but I don't believe that she witnessed any of the trafficking, sexual crimes or worse activities.
10
Katie1230 Mar 20, 2026 +8
I've seen people post about living near the island in the Florida keys, and being like yeah we knew something weird was going on. Then people in the comments would be like "wHy DiDnT yOu Do AnYtHiNg?" As if some rando could.
8
EternalCanadian Mar 20, 2026 +8
Also, even if you “feel off”, if you have no proof… what are you supposed to do, exactly? Witch hunting people is bad, guys, especially if you don’t actually know anything and are just going based off a feeling. You cannot use retroactive information to say “well they should have acted!” This only goes for those that “had a feeling”, to be clear, not those who actually knew anything but stayed quiet.

If you're talking about the reported end of their friendship in 2014, I'm convinced that's not true, there's an email that mentions someone meeting Epstein and "Mette" in January of 2018, and another from Epstein in 2019 asking someone if they told someone else they knew "Mette" (and they sent a response saying they became friends with the "royal crown princess of Norway"). And several other casual mentions of the name "Mette". There just aren't any emails exchanged between them after 2014. Now, this "Mette" person he met in 2018 and mentioned several other times after 2014 could've been anyone I guess, but I don't personally know about any other "Mette" that has ties to Epstein, and I'm not exactly sure I believe someone who says she knew nothing about him despite googling him and seemingly commenting on the results of his trial from 2008 with a smiley face at the start of their friendship in 2011.

144
Plastic_Umpire_3475 Mar 20, 2026 +51
"unnamed mutual acquaintance" but not accountable enough to name names. She isn't sorry that so many children were raped. She doesn't feel bad for the victims. She's remorseful because she was caught, but not remorseful enough to help the victims find justice.
51
kaisadilla_ Mar 20, 2026 +25
The amount of entitlement in these people is astounding. Let's say she really was manipulated: **so what?**. You are still responsible for your actions. You are not fit to represent your country, and you are harming the reputation of both Norway and your royal family by staying there. A burger flipper gets fired for stealing a $3 burger from the restaurant, yet being best friends with a pedophile and human trafficker is apparently not enough to lose your position as sacred super human and ceremonial owner of the country by divine mandate (+ big salary along with it).

No one, and I mean no one, asks Jeffery f****** Epstein if pictures of n*** women is proper decor for their teenage son's room, who isn't at a minimum a f****** lunatic. And that was after the arrest, which she knew about! And then the son in question grows up to be serial rapist? Do not pass go, do not collect $200.
11
popcornlube Mar 20, 2026 +9

9
Lonely_Noyaaa Mar 20, 2026 +11
>Mette-Marit apologized for her "poor judgment" but maintained she had no knowledge of Epstein's criminal activities at the time. Epstein was a convicted sex offender in 2008. Anyone associating with him after that cannot claim ignorance. If her connections predate 2008, maybe, but the "I didn't know" defense is wearing thin for everyone in his orbit.

No, you weren't. Her 29-year-old son faces 40 charges ranging from four counts of r*** and serious assault and abuse to drugs and traffic violations. Oh f*** off. F****** pedophile enablers. And f*** her rapist son. Time to burn all monarchy's to the ground! (Not them literally, but the institutions)

08_IfHeHolla Mar 20, 2026 +5
I think its crazy how literally *none* of the high status people who had links to Epstein had any clue he was such a disgusting monster. Like, they were all friends with him, and all kept their relationships very secretive, but not a single one of them knew the type of guy he actually was. What are the odds! 🤷‍♂️

zoa12 Mar 20, 2026 +5
Ah yes "he made me uncomfortable and unsafe" but you still kept in contact with him after makes perfect sense I usually keep contacting people that make me unsafe/uneasy /s

berysax Mar 20, 2026 +5
She’s projecting. She’s trying to manipulate and deceive the public.
5
Niceromancer Mar 20, 2026 +5
Ah yes the "I was the actual victim" card Textbook DARVO.
5
HungryCurrency8481 Mar 20, 2026 +4
The same woman that asked Epstein if it's weird to give her teenage son a poster of naked women?
4
LordOfTrubbish Mar 20, 2026 +4
>"It is incredibly important for me to take responsibility for not checking his background more carefully," she said. I'll take "shit affluent women say when confronted with their own shitty behavior" for $400 >"And to take responsibility for being so manipulated and deceived as I was." Oh f*** all the way off. If *Royal* families still want to exist despite modern times, I say we start dealing with their fuckups in traditional ways too...
4
idgitalert Mar 20, 2026 +4
Oh horseshit. Take her down with everyone else. ALL THESE PEOPLE KNEW WHAT HE WAS.
4
No-Weakness-2035 Mar 20, 2026 +5
Im tired of all these mealy mouthed apologies from billionaires. It’s clear they don’t care beyond their reputation damage otherwise they’d be doing things like making massive donations to the legal teams for victims. But we see none of that, so it’s clear to me they don’t give one flying flip about anyone but themselves.
5
BarnytheBrit Mar 20, 2026 +5
No, you were caught huge f****** difference
5
Davekinney0u812 Mar 20, 2026 +4
Ok......shut up and just come out with what you know, names, dates, places.....see, that was easy. Please, just the facts as you know them and shut the f*** up!
4
kea87 Mar 20, 2026 +4
Is that the same defense her son is using in his trial against multiple r*** charges?
4
Robert_Cutty Mar 20, 2026 +3
At this point, who isn’t on the list? Jeebus. Like a bunch of roaches coming out of the woodwork
3
EggAdventurous1957 Mar 20, 2026 +3
Supporters of abusive men generally act like this ONLY after tapes and evidence come out. (Just to save their own name though, no caring about victims) Before that they are more than happy to help an abusive rapist.
3
Imalibra13 Mar 20, 2026 +4
She's a piece of shit ex-junkie ho3 :)

Isn’t one of the Princesses married to some dubious shaman ? They’re trying to outdo the Windsors.
5
AzulMage2020 Mar 20, 2026 +5
Interesting. "Shes" the victim according to her. Like Mother , like son I guess
5
VexedCanadian84 Mar 21, 2026 +3
she either knew about Epstein and didn't care or didn't care to learn about Epstein and his crimes neither is a defense for her
3
liz4rd Mar 21, 2026 +4
Sounds like a pathetic, sweaty, nonce enabler to me.
4
lavenderpenguin Mar 21, 2026 +4
Oh please 🙄 was that also what happened with her rapist son? She’s gross. I don’t know what sewer the Norwegian prince picked her up from, but it speaks poorly of him too.
4
jvLin Mar 21, 2026 +5
so people are raped and she made it about her. classic princess.
5

Sure. Her track record proves otherwise
3
Protect-Their-Smiles Mar 20, 2026 +3
Les Wexner said the same thing in court, just an innocent victim of a manipulative con-man. Hard to believe it.
3

Just like your son right

I think Prince Andrew said the same thing

Another 'victim' with a PR company handling her rehabilitation tour. So tired of this.
3
KlatuuBarradaNicto Mar 20, 2026 +3
She’s a liar. She enlisted Epstein to help her son with some sexual issues he was having. She knew exactly who he was.
3
Tb1969 Mar 20, 2026 +3
Epstein was arrested five years earlier. The Royal families security team informed them of who he was and what he had been accused of.

nx01a Mar 20, 2026 +3
A lot of people on here won't remember this, but back in 2004, the current King Harald's late sister Princess Ragnhild warned that Prince Haakon was making a huge mistake in marrying Mette Marit, and even said she hoped she'd be dead before Haakon and Mette Marit would be on the throne (she got her wish when she died in 2012). Interestingly, Ragnhild also predicted Mette Marit's son from a previous relationship Marius would become an issue down the road. Looks like she was right on both counts. Makes you wonder if King Harald and Queen Sonja are wishing they had listened to Ragnhild.

Isn't this the drug-addicted stripper that JE introduced to her husband?
3

They will not! They have no history of aristocracy, they will keep their royals! No matter what! Sons a rapist, she drugged and fucked around alot. Still there

Aristocrats are trash people who contribute nothing so society
8
Interesting_Pen_167 Mar 20, 2026 +17
She's actually the only one who isn't an aristocrat, she was a commoner who married into the family.
17
nickmn13 Mar 20, 2026 +8
Idk if one can xall her and aristocrat. She is married to one but not born or raised to it.
8
orangehehe Mar 20, 2026 +9
I expect Epstein arranged her marriage into the royal family.
9
Critical_Letterhead3 Mar 20, 2026 +5
So, you hung out with the kids in the family playroom. Like they have in car dealerships
5
RociBuldidi Mar 20, 2026 +21
lol, this woman’s son, the Prince of Norway is currently on trial for r*** and battery of multiple women. Methinks you weren’t as “manipulated or deceived” as you claim. Your son learned this behavior somewhere.
21
completelyboring1 Mar 20, 2026 +62
He's not a prince of Norway, he's her son who predates her relationship with the crown prince. The rapist is a private citizen. But he is an absolute shitshow of a person by all accounts.
62
nickmn13 Mar 20, 2026 +14
Her son is not a prince of anything. He is the son of one of her exes, before she married the prince.

I don’t believe her at all
2

Even so throwing yourself at someone like she did is highly inappropriate and unbecoming of her position.

“I was manipulated and deceived [by my own hubris]”
2
dontrike Mar 20, 2026 +2
The only manipulation and deception she was told is that she'd never be in any danger of being caught, I don't know why she thought she could trust thieves, pedophiles, rapist, and con men to always keep that information hidden.
2
SheriffHarryBawls Mar 20, 2026 +2
Poor princess. She didn’t commit r*** and cannibalism on purpose. She was tricked. Her and all of her national security and intelligence services.
2

Who’s the close good friend that was friends with Epstein? Spill all the beans

Pedo enablers always try and distance themselves once caught. Shes a lying scumbag.
2
Lysenne Mar 20, 2026 +2
She knew he was blackmailing people. Her son was raised in an entitled environment, likely with an incredible number of bad influences. People in positions like these live very detached from reality, feeling they have no one to connect with and no privacy anywhere on earth. I doubt she genuinely felt the autonomy others believe she has. It’s almost a given for people with this level of influence to believe they have no agency, outside of their positions. Advisors, managers, and “trusted contacts” can and do manipulate them in these views and then public backlash makes it harder to fight against them. Pulmonary fibrosis can be debilitating, impacting her memory, attention, executive functioning, and ability to process information. I’d be curious to know how many people in her class feel exactly the same, have no idea how to address the public about it, and are being heavily coached by those who “know better.” All of this is to say: we have no real idea what JE and his network were doing to people with this level of power to keep them quiet. May she find the strength to say more about what she knows to the people who can make a difference with power she doesn’t believe she has.

I'll never understand why she hasn't been kicked out yet
2
snajk138 Mar 21, 2026 +2
It took her, what, two months to put that sob story full of holes together? Pathetic.
2
Jstrangways Mar 21, 2026 +2
She spent the first 1 1/2 months watching Andrew Mountsgoats-Windsor’s interview and ordering Pizza Express.
2
fussyfella Mar 21, 2026 +2
Just another reason why we in Europe need to get over having hereditary heads of state. Even if the actual person in the job and the actual heir have been properly brainwashed to behave, it's clear their family often do not. Personally, I think the Swiss have the right idea in simply not having a "head of state" at all and a system that rotates people though high office before they get a chance to develop enough cult of personality to try to change the system.
2
JimmyMcGillHHM Mar 21, 2026 +1
Love how she thinks she can just claim this bs and walk Scott free. What a stupid c***.
1
Nono6768 Mar 20, 2026 +3
Their entire royal family is fucked up. At this point they should just put the crown prince of Denmark in charge like in the olden days
3
Francois_the_cat Mar 20, 2026 +4
I'd totally spin it in the same manner, heh. Still want to hear what the rest of the family, and most of all, her husband thinks. Also: >"It is incredibly important for me to take responsibility for not checking his background more carefully," she said. She straight up said she had done some background checking on him, and it was not "so good".

MusicURlooking4 Mar 20, 2026 +3

Mustard_Gap Mar 20, 2026 +3
The simple and basic truth is that she came from a difficult early life and saw a chance to live the life of a jetsetter. She took that chance and went with it. Passionately. So yeah. She's not fit to be queen of my country, in my opinion. You're supposed to have some level of moral clarity to adequately perform that function. Ad notam: Not widely covered these days is the fact that her closest family went on a $25K/week Mediterranean cruise on Terry Taylor's yacht "Mia Elise" back in 2015. They paid nothing for this vacation. The reclusive billionaire Taylor is reportedly closely linked to Epstein as per the Epstein-files. Which is not a shock as Epstein corrupted everything and everyone he came into contact with. Much like I don't believe anything a republican says, I do not believe her remorse at all. She's afraid to come clean on her greed for material goods and living a life reserved for the 0.01%. Also the royal courts handling of this as well as the sitting king and queen is seriously lacking.
