For a title called off campus I sure see a lot of lecture halls

To be fair, Heated Rivalry is the gay off campus show, since off campus series is the saga that pratically start the whole hockey thing in books.

I’m not up to speed on the chronology of steamy hockey literature! Thanks for the clarification.

Yeah, as a fan of both, the OC books came years before, and I believe they started filming before HR too. Just happens that they're releasing it after HR.😅

prime video really saw how much money they made off the summer i turned pretty and maxton hall and just decided to greenlight every single booktok romance in existence tbh.

I think it is a good thing, since the end of CW shows, teen and youngs adults barely had any storytelling for them.
Maybe Prime decided to be the new CW, and it is not a bad thing

It makes sense the company that started as an online bookstore would have a streaming service that does a lot of book adaptations

It's a pity booktok is never interested in classical romances other than Jane Austen (even though calling her novels romances is a stretch at best; they are more like satire of high societies) and the Brontë sisters. Just imagine if they ever recommended, say, Alexandre Dumas' Marie Antoinette romances -- absolutely thrilling read and sadly forgetten today because of the cultural impact of those pesky four musketeers and that count of Monte Cristo.
