From the way the poster is setup I thought this was a spin off to Puss in Boots lol

there’s more design and thought put into the “from the directors of Puss in Boots” tag than there is for the actual title on this poster. I know it’s silly to analyze a poster for an animated kids magazine but but this just looks like a halfassed job EDIT: I hate auto dictation, but I’m keeping it

I feel horrible for whoever the designer was for this that probably pushed against putting a giant "Puss in Boots" title above the ACTUAL title of the movie...

I thought it was a new Puss in Boots movie at first glance. Excitement dwindled when I actually read it.

Filipino American kids movie? I’m down

As a Filipino American woman who is still best friends with someone I first met in grammar school I was borderline in tears watching this. I will be seated, probably in some Filipinana-based outfit, on opening day with as many friends as possible. So many references to things I grew up with as a kid flashed by in the trailer that I never thought I'd see in a major motion picture.

Based on this poster, I definitely thought this was called "Puss in Boots: Forgotten Island".

Finally a movie that raises awareness for equality between sweater wearing people and non sweater wearing people.

The fact that a different movie's title is almost as big as the actual movie's title on its poster gives me more than enough to know this is likely going to be bad.

Between Puss and Boots and Wild Robot, Dreamworks has reached must-watch status for me, like Pixar had back in the day. So, I'm instantly intrigued. The comments are talking a lot about the"Puss in Boots" thing, but that's just marketing. This looks like a new IP (or at least, maybe an obscure one? I've never heard of it), so you have to offset some of the risks by tying it to a known property. And honestly, it worked, for me anyway.

It's the origin story for Samberg, Schaffer and Taccone's partnership.

I saw the trailer it looks like a good movie. I think H.E.R. got cast in the movie after her charm in the Curtis Mayfield interview movie.

Focusing primarily on “From the Producers of Some Really Good Movie That You Liked” instead of the actual movie or any of the creative team behind the movie is typically a pretty big red flag. I remember a trailer for some illumination movie from a few years ago. The trailer was a minute long and at least half of it was clips from Mario, Minions and other movies that had nothing to do with the actual film.

Ngl it doesn’t look like anything special but Puss In Boots 2 was great so it has potential

This is one of the worst designed professional posters I’ve ever seen. I legitimately hope someone gets fired for it. The colours of the title, the Puss in Boots being misleading, the crappy animation, the lack of explanation, the title being too small… Wow. Appallingly unprofessional.

Okay I don't like to judge books by their covers but this poster looks like an ad for a video game crossover. It looks like the new season of Fortnite. Which, maybe that was the intention, but it gives off direct to video vibes.
