I'm amazed that markets react to anything Trump says. You may as well put money down on a r******* wheel, and choose your numbers by how many times he's flipped and flopped in a day.

Four straight weeks now, on Monday/Tuesday, Trump has "signaled" the war is close to ending, and stocks go up. Then as the week goes on and reality sets in, stocks tank on Thursday and Friday. We've had our weekly pump, will probably spill over into today. Then we're primed for a sell-off into the weekend.

The market is made mostly of old money and old money votes republican. They think trump will not hurt their own, but forget trump is dumb and incompetent.

Like the rest of the stock market really... you're reacting to sentiment, not fundamentals.

Didn’t they just send another aircraft carrier to the region?

Im not convinced the US leaving means the straights will reopen for all traffic.   The Iranians are not overly fond of their neighbours and could use the extra cash from elevated oil prices.

The US will lose its allies in the Gulf, just as it did in Europe. The objective of Project 2025, the Heritage Foundation’s plan, is to isolate the US from its allies. According to them, everything that the US needs can be provided by russia.

Ideologically? Yes. Nowadays barely make sense to distinguish between usa and russia. Trump is Putin’s local governor.

It does not matter what trump says. When will the media get it?

Tapping out would normally be embarrassing but we will just spin it as a win
