because they're making money off it. they're ignoring Iran's statements even though they're actually following through on their threats and making moves based on Trump's tweets. the stock markets have completely left reality and everyone's hoping they're not left with the bill.

You can look up crude oil prices and see they spiked SHARPLY during his speech last night. It stopped early march, the flow of oil supply that is. The traders are buying and selling sentiment, but it doesn't change the fact that supply isn't flowing. Once the markets start to see that -- this will have looked like a cake walk by comparison is my bet.

Because he isn’t actually manipulating the market. The people saying “this is all a ploy by Trump to manipulate the market” are becoming like the 4D chess people. Trump is just suffering from advanced dementia. He was an always problematic person that tended towards stupidity, who now has a severely degraded brain. He isn’t planning anything. He isn’t operating with goals in mind. He does and says whatever happens to pop up in his mind that exact moment, which is why he will flip flop positions multiple times in a 2-3 minute comment. He likely forgets things very quickly, and also perceives things that do not exist (ex: he believes talks have been occurring between him and the leaders of Iran despite none of that happening). I’m sure some people inside his administration are profiting off this. But Trump is just dementia riddled and behaving exactly like any person with dementia who was given the keys to the kingdom would. Labeling it as planned manipulation is just another form of sane washing, even though the people doing it aren’t intending to.

I saw other similar recent incidents such as his ramble about Sharpies and a supposed gold-black custom Sharpie to replace the expensive White House pens with, being discussed by commenters on YouTube, and one [potential explanation offered was that he's confabulating](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confabulation) because his brain has physically deteriorated to the point where it's often no longer capable of recreating factual memories of events which he's supposed to talk about or wants to talk about, and creates fictional ones instead which he believes are real since he naturally cannot discern them from factual memories. Based on the Wikipedia article, it's not known *why* exactly brains begin to do this when they suffer from certain kinds of damage or dementia, but if this is the case, in Trump's own mind he's not lying if he for example mentions having had talks with the leaders of Iran when no talks have taken place because *to him* it's reality.

To be honest, I am more surprised the prices relaxed in-between due to trump's obvious lies. Further, even if the war would be resolved today, with an opening of the straight, there would still be a massive impact on the oil price due to the damages on the infrastructure, which takes years to be repaired. For weeks we see a simple market manipulation by the cleptocracy, which harms every normal person on the globe. Innocent people died, and more will die, the economical impact will impact everybody.

He has dementia and is being used. I dont like Trump, but something else is happening here and if this is true, as weird as it sounds: his reality is real and he is negotiating with Iran. I can think people close to him are manipulating him. Again, he is an asshol.e, but I believe its not him doing the things we see him do. Dementia is bad. I wouldnt rule out he wouldnt be doing it anyways (fcking us up), but at this point it might not even be his fault
