Been saying it for a while now, the financial markets are basically just a mood ring for rich people and seeing as how there are a greater than average amount of trumpers amongst that group it shouldn't surprise anyone that they are largely detached from reality. Still, even jet propelled bullshit can defy gravity for only so long and it's going to be ugly when it all comes crashing down.

Not ugly for those responsible, unfortunately.

I'm quickly coming to the opinion that the price of stocks are no longer reflective of the strength of the market. Simply how weak the currency they're measured against is.

Might actually be how a few just manipulate the market. https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/news/peter-schiff-alleges-market-manipulation-as-760-million-bet-draws-scrutiny-iran-parliamentary-speaker-calls-oil-futures-treasuries-house-of-cards/ar-AA21iu7L

Yes I know...crazy. Not a joke since I have a lot of money in the S&P. The world is not a stable place right now, does not make any sense to me other than where else to park money? There are 2 trillion dollars in assets world wide right now with nothing to invest in.

Before the hoard of market manipulation comments arive, this wasn't a new unforseen action by the US meant to swing the market one way or the other, the inbound Iranian ship was attempting to run the blockade that it knew was inplace, and the obvious outcome played out. It was likely a test by the Iranians to see if the Americans would actually follow through.

The levels of insider trading here is so wild. The billions they moved through opening and closing this strait with excuse of war and "negotiations" at expense of entire world is beyond disgusting and Donald is the one doing it.

Not to say that hasn't happend, but this is not applicable here, unless you are implying the Iranians and Americans are colluding together. This was an Iranian ship, that was sailing back to Iran from China, who knew about the blockade and decided to chance it anyways. For anyone who has been confused about the status of the strait this weekend here is a summary: US blockade has been in effect for over a week, all through the last round of negotiations and no messaging from the US has ever stated it was ending due to the ceasefire. Iran is a bit more confusing, seeing as there is different messages coming from different Iranian officials, and it is currently not clear, probably even to the Iranians who is really in charge. Iranian Foreign Minister Aragachi signaled the strait would be open on Saturday, this was quickly walked back as hours later Iranian speedboats started firing on ships that were attempting transit. Clearly there is power struggle taking place between the IRGC faction led by Ahmad Vahidi who have taken a hardline stance against negotiations or making any concessions and figures in the civilian government like Pezeshkian or Aragachi who are more ammendable to a diplomatic solution. Unfortunetaly the IRGC are the ones with the most guns. Until ships have been sailing through the strait unempeded by either side for the span of atleast a few days I would not bother with headlines from either governments officials on what the real status of the strait is. Actions not words.

Iran is just there. It's the stupid Americans, Donald and his rich buddies in particular. They are dicking around and knowing EXACTLY when prices will fluctuate because THEY are doing this shit. I'm not defending Iranian regime, but they were just there minding their own business until Murica decided it's somehow a threat to them with "they have them nukes" excuse even though they claimed they decimated it all ages ago but somehow they are still nuclear capable or something.

This article is about an Iranian ship that decided to run the blockade. Unless you think that it was being piloted by an American crew who were knowingly running the blockade at a certain time in order to effect the markets, I really don't know what you are are trying to say, let alone the fact this happend on the weekend when markets were closed.

“I really don’t know what you are trying to say.” Really? It’s painfully apparent what they mean from here.

No one is arguing that has Market Manipulation has taken place.. It doesn't make sense pertaining to this article though seeing as this was an action carried out by the Iranians, and during the weekend when the markets were closed.  There was no Americans  making calls or puts on friday because they had insider knowledge an Iranian tanker was going to try and run the blockade a day later. See now? His claim this was done for the purpose of insider trading is baseless and makes no sense.
