Really? Like Clockwork, when US futures are open; oil goes down...

Their treasury guy pretty much confirmed they're shorting oil futures to keep the price down.
I guess they're hoping by the time the contracts expire, spot prices will come down a lot but the clock is ticking and that ain't happening.
Oh well, it the US taxpayer that'll pay for this anyway (the shorting bit, the whole world is paying for the increased prices sadly).

The US leadership is currently bogged down in very important discussions about whether a ballroom should be built and doesn't have time for petty matters like ending the war it started that is sinking the world's economy.

“We make a lot of money when oil is this expensive “ . Thought I heard someone say something to that effect. Hmm

Just the Treasure Secretary, who often says it’s fine for consumers to suffer if it helps the economy.

All this blatant pillaging through insider information surely assets and monies liquid and otherwise will be frozen and or confiscated right when law and order resumes, because at the moment it's pillaging, suing american taxpayers, open piracy with the Navy. I mean people don't live forever, alliances and allegiances change when suited.
I can't wait for it all to come crashing down. I'll still be here, still poor. Nothing changes for me.
