Oil aside, fertilizer is a huge deal that’s not being discussed enough. Combine that with drought conditions in the western United States, Nebraska on fire, and record heat already in parts of the the country trying to and world, we are in for an insane year at least.

So we’re just... speedrunning the 1970s energy crisis now? Between the Strait of Hormuz being effectively closed and the threat of hitting Iran’s energy grid, we’re looking at $150 oil by summer. My commute is already costing me a kidney. If this "10-day extension" is just a countdown to bombing their refineries, the global economy is going into a tailspin.

I can see $12 a gallon on the horizon. People should start preparing learn your local transit or buy a ebike less then 10 cents a mile. More people should use the current situation a springboard to change the way they look at commuting.

I have my final inspection for my solar Friday. All in for about 7k on my 6kW system. Did it all myself except for the plans - subbed those out. Will be enough to cover all our usage + more and I have until April 16 to still be grandfathered into NEM2.0 since I did the application almost 3 years ago.
