Apparently titled "A Deadly Adoption"

The main thing I remember is that they had wanted no promotion for it, that it would just come on and be totally straight and be run just like any other of their movies, but somebody at Hallmark just couldn’t let it be and word got out and it ruined their initial premise.

Fun fact - Stephen Fry also had a cameo on the show back in the day, being an English traveller who was lost and asked for directions so the villagers decided to mess with him... unaware that he was actually fluent in Gaelic.
Also, there's an award-winning ad where, due to a murder storyline on the show, a character from Ros na Rún was interrogated by Lily Rabe and John Stillman from Cold Case due to TG4 also being the channel that aired that show. They try to interrogate him in English which fails due to him faking that he can't understand the language... so they switch to interrogating him in fluent Gaelic to his shock (and Nick Vera's who is watching from the other side of the mirror).
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gT2dXjeFJo
They actually flew the Irish actor to the Cold Case set and he coached the Cold Case actors on their lines for the promo.

John Finn from Cold Case actually speaks Irish. He was learning it before that ad even, I think his grandparents were Irish speakers. He was in a show called An Bronntanas on TG4 in about 2011 or so where he spoke Irish as well. He speaks with a bit of a Donegal accent

This is class to see fair play to you.
When studying Irish for our leaving cert (our state exams before college), our Irish teacher got us all to watch Ros na Rún to help bring us up to scratch so it’s a great way to improve. It can sound hectic at the beginning but you’d be surprised how quick the words become familiar, also found myself getting really into the storylines

Ros na Run is so good. My mum watches all the soaps here and just got bored with them, so we went channel-hopping. Here comes TG4, and Ros na Run was on. We leave it on as a laugh, and when the scene starts, a man has a gun to the head of a screaming woman tied to a chair. Divorce drama turns crazy, and the town isn't expecting the woman anywhere, so nobody thinks to check in on her. It cuts back to her telling her ex to f*** off basically, ***and he punges a syringe into her neck.*** She gets knocked out. We sat there stunned after the 30-minute show like...What did we just watch?

That makes sense. Most of my knowledge comes from watching shows on BBC, Sky, ITV etc from here in Canada.
I do know that the Welsh have their own language and I learned that from watching those same sources. Some of the shows set in Wales actually have people speaking Welsh and they add subtitles. Even some of the shows set in Scotland have people speaking Scottish. Never had that experience with shows set in Ireland.
