The town drunk and his (I think we're supposed to assume) drunk horse leaning against the wall is v possibly the funniest gag ever.

Singing "Happy Birthday" and blowing out the candles at the wake was my Dad's favorite bit.

That shot has been my dad's desktop background for years

The use of the singers in this film, which act as a "Greek Chorus" for the narrative, inspired the same sort of onscreen-performers in **There's Something About Mary**.

They could at least pretend to play the banjo. I guess when you have a voice like Nat King Cole you don't have to do anything but sing.

Such an amazing movie. Lee Marvin won an Oscar for his performance as Kid Shaleen, even though he also played the Antagonist, Tim Strawn also.

The love I have for horses and cowboys' drip made me watch this Western Comedy over and over. I miss the 1900 lifestyle.
