Good.
Lets hope it isn't the last country to follow suit.

The US needs to butt out of Europes tech regulations.
Creating AI generated revenge p*** and CSAM is not free speech, and some in the US government need to wrap their heads around that.

It's not (really) about free speech or at least that isn't the proximate cause, it's simply that they think as the big country they get to set whatever policy they want about whatever they want and pesky things like other countries laws shouldn't apply.
They basically believe their own propaganda and have benefited from their position in the world for so long they take it for granted that it is the natural state of affairs, no empire lasts forever.

Fair enough :).
They are behaving much like the British Empire at the height of its power (right before the wheels fell off).

It took 2 world wars to unseat the British, let’s hope something similar is not on the horizon

>Perhaps European voters should stop voting in favour of being bitches to USA and stop consuming American media garbage, then.
Europeans aren't a monolith nor are the voters or the politicians.

Dude should have been straight up jailed for it as soon as he landed on European soil.
If people cannot make an obvious association with Epstein files, the political and intelligence backslash from it, they probably need a good dose of common sense. Not only that but this guy probably though it was a great mean to promote the insane push around internet regulation like ID check everywhere, even on access to encyclopedia. Which is scary, if the right wing nutjobs now purposefully promote child p********** to push their political agenda of control to the population, which they basically took from Chinese model, we are now into a phase that should never have started. This is not red flag territory anymore.

> a new step in a probe over alleged abuse of algorithms and fraudulent data
Next step is this going before judges, and summoning the heads of Musk's various companies. If they fail to appear, the judges will have to issue warrants to proceed.
