I love the episode where the head lawyer is in a pinch but confident he’ll get out of it, he collabs with Encyclopedia Brown and resolves the issue but the bald dude threatens EB putting the whole plan at risk.

Don’t forget the part where EB thinks with his d*** and just avoids getting himself exposed as a fraud and the paralegal fired.

Translated, "I'd definitely want that beefy juicy paycheck again"

Yeah that too probably, but when someone plays a role that defines them, and you work with the same-ish people year in and year out, there is an attachment there too, no doubt. Money isnt everything.

He’s done those ads for the phone game where you have to save the king (?) and he’s wearing a fleece with crumbs on it looking like he just came back from a run that ended with a croissant

Thing is advertising gigs tend to pay ridiculously well. I’ve heard actors talk about making more from a couple commercials than they did in a year or two on television.

Definitely true and I agree, though J Adams did leave before the show's conclusion.

He was on a podcast with jesse tyler ferguson, and it was honestly charming how he said:“yeah I kinda regreted leaving suits early, gabriel macht made so much more money”

Season 1 I thought was VERY good. Granted it was no Boston Legal…now that needs a resurgence

Season 9 is evidence against the reboot.

I loved Boston Legal, but I can’t think of a current actor who could play the James Spader role, he carried that show most of the time.

James spader could return, The Blacklist must be done (or almost done) by now.

The reboot was all over the place Couldn’t they just do Hollywood cases as the two firms duke it out Why’d it have a mob tie in there -LA had so much potential

They might as well revive it and put it on Peacock it makes sense

I am amused by the success of this show which is just a soap opera in suits with a hint of law.

The whole premise of that show was shit from the pilot. All poor Mike had to do was convince Harvey (or any lawyer anywhere) to let him read for the law, and BOOM he'd be a real lawyer by season two. No more show.

But the firm had, at that time at least, the Harvard rule: where only Harvard grads could work there.

The New York bar doesn't work that way. https://www.barbri.com/resources/do-you-have-to-go-to-law-school-to-take-the-bar-exam

NY only requires a year of law school before reading. Mike could have breezed thru or tested out of 30 credit hours of night school somewhere in NY. He was an autodidactic genius with photographic memory, after all, the flimsiest of the flimsy premises. As long as we're arguing the flimsy fictional premise of a flimsy fictional show, we can argue that they could set it in Los Angeles instead. Come to think of it, that's exactly what they did with the reboot. Didn't Lincoln read for the bar? Is that not a thing in Illinois anymore? I guess that rules out setting the show in Chicago. None of this stopped me from watching every episode. Plus the reboot. And the spinoff they gave Jessica.....which they set in.....

I will always share this story. I (American) was in Berlin on a balcony with a couple of friends on New Years Eve smoking some cigarettes before going out. Suddenly, this beautiful woman shows up, and we all start shooting the shit. She’s from Croatia and I tell her that I work at a law firm and she goes with a very, very heavy accent “Oh my Gott!! Like the show SUITS?!” And starts raving about this show. It was actually really cool seeing how excited she got about it. But I found it so interesting because apparently it’s a very famous show worldwide? Mind you, this is back in 2013 so I wonder if the show was simulcast. Suits became a recurring motive throughout that trip for some reason lol Of all the shows for somebody to rave about at the time, suits? A show on a not even that popular television network? Crazy. Anyway, a lot of people seem to really love this show. One of my best friends, his mom is Mexican and she loves it because it comes on all the time over there apparently.

Suits LA was the worst

NCSUGrad2012 Mar 19, 2026 +4
The entire show was Mike and Harvey and then they tried it without that. Even seasons 8 and 9 on the original are terrible

KennyBlankenship_69 Mar 19, 2026 +1
It is absolutely garbage, some just absolutely terrible acting all around by everyone involved. So corny and cringey

If you want a real law show watch “The Good Wife” or the “The Good Fight” or “The Practice” or “Boston Legal” Suits is stupid

After that T mobile commercial I could do without seeing either of these two chuds again.
