Irish Star is a horrible tabloid paper. They didn’t even include Paula Marshall’s purse in the article, just photos of Sweeney.

This is surprisingly common in celebrity news articles. I don't know how many articles I've seen about how a celebrity wow everyone in a fancy dress or scandalized people in a revealing dress only for there to.be no picture. I have to assume it's because they don't want to pay for the photo rights.

This is the second story about some "red carpet drama" related to this show that I've seen this morning.

Yes celebrity gossip is huge. I get that people are born every day but it feels like we cycle through this conversation 5 times a week

They want the drama to get clicks..
Wouldn't suprise me they're all best friend behind the scenes

My favorite is the drama about Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney “avoiding” each other on the red carpet. Somehow two women doing *literally nothing* means they have a super intense feud.

Yeah this is the one I was referring to! I've since seen another "drama" mentioned but I can't even remember what that one was about.

Says right in the article she voted for him in 2024.
Edit: I get it guys. She hasn’t publicly stated she voted for him. But in a world where it’s increasingly easy to say “no I didn’t and I don’t support this”, silence speaks quite loudly. She’s a registered Republican and she sure doesn’t seem like she’s trying to dispel any notion that she’s aligned that way.
25
Useful-Soup81614 days ago
+13
Yeah but she’s never confirmed that. What is confirmed is that she did register as a republican on ‘24 and voted in that election, she most likely voted for trump.
13
LuinAelin4 days ago
+10
Has she actually confirmed that or are people just assuming
10
Useful-Soup81614 days ago

People are assuming but she registered as a republican in ‘24 and voted in the election so she most likely voted for trump. She’s never confirmed or denied it.

Many states require that to vote in th primaries. Says nothing about how someone votes in the general elections

Point is who cares…it’s an actress who has never publicly spoken out. This is literal clickbait. I’m sure she went home and cried herself to sleep on what Paula did.
2
MagnetoWasRight243 days ago
-1
How does 80 million people being morons show that point? I asked you a direct question, don't be a coward.
-1
spazz7203 days ago
Coward? 🤣
The article is about an actress with a purse against Trump and they bring up Sweeny who is not an outspoken political figure. It’s a clickbait article by irish star.com…there is more substance in the ingredients on the back of a shampoo bottle.
0
MagnetoWasRight243 days ago
-1
And none of that has to do with your "so did 80 million people" response, you know, the thing I directly asked you about and you seem incapable of answering?
-1
spazz7203 days ago
+2
Apparently you are a daft one…80million people voted for Trump…the title of the article acts like it was a defiant act toward Sweeny. There was no reason to mention her name in the title other than to generate clicks.

Her movie from 2023 called Reality was her playing the person who leaked that Russia was trying to help Trump in 2016.
I feel that’s always something that gets overlooked in all this.

Yeah, I hate Trump, and I don't like his supporters.
But Sweeney has done very little to publicly show any support to him at all. Most of that "she supports MAGA" stuff is projection. As far as I know, she's never made a *single* pro-trump or pro-right wing comment.
Also, some of her roles aren't exactly right-wing, right? So... I think people just *want* to hate her, so they push a lot on her that isn't there.

She tows the line just perfectly enough to continue getting mainstream work. Silence speaks volumes though. She has been given multiple opportunities to correct the record and has chosen not to. That's really all one needs to know.

She didn’t throw the party, she attended a party where people wore “Make 60 Great Again” hats and one guy happened to be wearing a Trump shirt.

She did but that was before she’d even registered as a republican. My point is while she most likely voted for trump she has never confirmed or denied it so it shouldn’t be stated as a fact. The writer of that article should’ve known better than to state it as a fact.
1
GildedDreams254 days ago

I think we all have enough functioning critical, thinking skills to infer based off of the fact that she had a goddamn birthday party about him that she probably voted for him and that’s enough for me frankly
2
Useful-Soup81614 days ago

It wasn’t her birthday party. Yeah she most likely voted for him but you still shouldn’t state it as fact when it’s not confirmed.

Without taking a side either way, she literally said she voted for him.
EDIT - actually, I'm not sure there is a source/quote to back that up, it's just very likely. Voting records revealed she registered as a Republican voter in Florida in June 2024, a few months before the election. She has not made any public statement about who she voted for though.

I kind wonder if Sweeny is just like You know what, if I don't say anything one way or another they'll keep putting my name in articles. If I say my political beliefs, all the talk stops and I start fading into obscurity as the next new hot girl comes along. So I'm going to make sure that I create some press while not actually doing anything but showing up at a slightly different time or refusing to answer political questions. And the press will eat it up and make a controversy where there really isn't any.
