Pavement - The Hexx [Alternative Rock]

Pavement fans I've met over the years can be pretty divided over Terror Twilight; and I agree with one of the most common criticisms- It sounds more like just Malkmus than Pavement. The band has admitted as much over the years. He wrote most all of it, they contributed way less than previously had due to all being in different parts of the country at the time- and his star was rising, his writing had been increasing, and their lack of cohesion was showing. He went on to release his first solo album with the Jicks not long after, and I feel like you could make these vol. 1 and 2 pretty easily. The production sounds so similar.
