You’re 100% correct. Multiple meta-analyses have empirically shown that science and research — especially that which has been peer reviewed or put under scrutiny by a body of experts — correlate with a gay quotient of 0.98, which is about as close to “completely gay” as it can reasonably get. 182
rand0m-cybersecurity Mar 19, 2026 +68
For somethings but in this case they will most likely use religion and call it God's will. Edit: Hopefully I can provide some deeper insight into why they would call it that. I live in a heavily republican/religious area. In their view any child who is not old enough to accept Jesus as their savior is automagically accepted into heaven. Due to this any death of a child even to something as terrible as brain cancer isn't ultimately a bad thing as they are in heaven and that was god's plan.
68
Ok-Age-1035 Mar 19, 2026 +42
I live in a very religious place too, unfortunately, for these morons when it comes to school being bombed killing hundreds of kids, it is god's plan, but if Iran is developing nukes it is not god's plan, it is evil satan plan, how they know that Idk. Just sheer stupidity.
42
pepolepop Mar 19, 2026 +30
>how they know that Idk Oh, that's easy. God's plan is when thing I like. Satan's plan is when thing I don't like. I see the same thing with communism/socialism, especially on Facebook. Anything they don't like it automatically labeled communist, antifa or one of the few other buzzwords that bounce around in their skull. Separating stuff into black and white categories like this with zero nuance eliminates the need to think or justly rationalize their position. Me = good, them = bad is as simple as it gets, and attributing their version of God to it means they're the good guy 100% of the time.

All conservatives, period, because they represent a belief that there is a social hierarchy and that those at the top should be able to do whatever they want. This includes other despots going back to the kings, sultans, khans, and emperors straight through to their modern iterations like Suharto, Ferdinand Marcos, Mobuto Sese Seko, Idi Amin, Putin, Erdogan, Viktor Orban, MBS and the other despots who live like the kings of old while their people struggle to survive and thrive.

Congress had the opportunity to reign in Trump. They decided not to vote on it. They have approved this war and do not let them try to say otherwise. The people may not want war, but the war mongers in charge have betrayed the public and are sending the poor to die for the rich to play God.

The so called enemy uses $20k to $40k military drones.... while you shoot them down with $2 million to $10 million dollars a pop missles. The enemy uses mines to block off shipping traffic and you send in $50 billion dollar Warships to basically watch... You fly $ 2 million dollars a pop Aircraft and bombers over the enemies air space and they get shot down by frendly fire..... I could go on... Oh and on day One the Iranians bombed our Middle East bases and destroyed our Radar Detection in the region... Those both are not c****.... Wait till there are boots on the ground.... oh wait there already are if you count that Island they bombed twice.
310
phyneas Mar 19, 2026 +134
It's not just the losses and fancy one-time-use missiles either; just keeping that whole war machine operating in general would cost billions even if you never lost a vehicle or fired a shot.
134
FyreBoi99 Mar 19, 2026 +117

Whole things is a conspiracy. NASA and the DoD buy the exact same part number oil switch. NASA pays $328 per oil switch. The DoD pays over $10,000 per oil switch. This was covered on 60 minutes years and years ago. https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/weapons-contractors-price-gouging-pentagon-60-minutes-transcript-2023-05-21/ E: NASA pays less than I remembered off the top of my head, I thought it was $354
189
Otherwise_Demand4620 Mar 19, 2026 +91
You have to consider the huge stakes the supplier is confronted with. If the switch fails in a NASA mission, like half a dozen people die. If they fail in a missile, 150 brown children might not die. So it's clear that you have to budget for that, like how wedding cakes are more expensive because it just has to be perfect.

Considering how many people in the Trump administration have been caught blatantly using taxpayer money on extravagant personal services and luxuries, a $200B "excursion" actually sounds about right.
101
Particular_Creme_621 Mar 19, 2026 +92
This practice of making it legal by not using the word 'war' has to stop. If there's shooting and blowing up and dying, it's war. I don't care what you call it.
92
archabaddon Mar 19, 2026 +66
The war they want to spend $200 billion of taxpayer money on, so that oil companies can make $60 billion in profit for their shareholders, including but not limited to Donald Trump. Basically, taxpayers lose so that corporate greed can win.
66
Possible-Nectarine80 Mar 19, 2026 +118
Dems would be wise to lean into this narrative. "What do you mean that you need $200 billion more for an excursion into Iran?" "Why should we provide $200 billion in additional funding when congress was not consulted?" "We need an itemized funding request for that $200 billion and will need several months to review and then defense committee discussions. Probably get back to you sometime after the August recess." "Let's wait until after the mid-terms and let the voters decide."

This is why we don't have universal healthcare
143
EightGlow Mar 19, 2026 +30
But won’t someone think of the shareholders?
30
Scissorzz Mar 19, 2026 +111
You don’t have universal healthcare because of lobbying and greed by big pharma, not saying your military spending isn’t overboard, but that’s not the real reason you don’t have healthcare.
111
Flaky_Highway_857 Mar 19, 2026 +109
We don't have it because that would help "everyone" and that just isn't how america works.
109
hotgrease Mar 19, 2026 +715
Who still believes that DOGE was anything more than an operation to steal the private data of every American? These people don’t care about reducing debt. They care about f****** over marginalized people.

madmars Mar 19, 2026 +53
multiple SEC investigations probably. Installing backdoors, pilfering all of our private data... We need to bring back justice in America. Otherwise, I don't see the point of having this nation. It's just the rich robbing the middle class and poor. Endlessly. While rigging elections and tossing up nazi salutes. We have money for trillion dollar wars, but none for schools and healthcare. No time for justice. But time enough time for [f****** with this little 5 year old and his family](https://www.nytimes.com/2026/03/18/us/family-minneapolis-boy-ice-deportation.html). Nazi f****** scum. All of them.

masnosreme Mar 19, 2026 +365
I don't want to hear one goddamn word from the Republicans about the deficit the next time a Democrat becomes president (assuming Trump doesn't succeed in turning us into a dictatorship). The biggest trick the devil ever pulled was not convincing the world he didn't exist, it was convincing the American people the Republicans are the party of fiscal responsibility.
365
Penguinkeith Mar 19, 2026 +138
it’s the biggest f****** joke of all time and it keeps repeating time after time… republicans give tax cuts to the ultra wealthy and increase spending and then blame democrats when their awful decisions eventually tank the economy. Happy cake day.
138
DrAstralis Mar 19, 2026 +51
Its been this on repeat for quite literally my entire life.
51
FlowRemote9890 Mar 19, 2026 +12
It never ceases to amaze me how stupid the average American is. It's been like this for decades and people still can't figure it out. Dems are also *horrible* at messaging.
12
10thousndreflections Mar 19, 2026 +21
You seem to be under the impression that they make those arguments because they care.  They don't care about anything but keeping power. So they will make arguments that seem reasonable to low information voters to keep power.

I would prefer to not be at war with Iran and I would prefer to spend money on being able to see a doctor and not having it cost an arm and a leg

phoenix14830 Mar 19, 2026 +117
If you wanted healthcare, that's where it went. Get these guys out of office and get us healthcare. You can't say there isn't enough money. There is always hundreds of billions that can come out of thin air when the federal government wants it. Get rid of health insurance and put the whole country on a plan like many other world leading countries already use. It's not new, the US is far behind on this and is one of the last developed countries left to not provide universal healthcare for all.
117
KalaUposatha Mar 19, 2026 +31
It is literally THE last developed country to not have it. Even most underdeveloped countries have a basic version of it.
31
Meatloaf_Hitler Mar 19, 2026 +15
We literally don't even need to cut military spending either. That's the fucked thing. It would literally be 400m cheaper to turn all our current health programs (Medicare + Medicaid) into universal healthcare like the EU. We're holding it simply for the hate of the people.
15
Al_Tilly_the_Bum Mar 19, 2026 +1206
There will always be enough money in the budget for killing brown people on the other side of the world. But we still can't afford healthcare or education for some reason
1206
igetproteinfartsHELP Mar 19, 2026 +361
The U.S. National Debt is $39 trillion and it’s still rising because Trump wants americans to kill people and die in a war nobody wanted. It’s disgraceful how they’re using this money to bomb Iranian girls school and have no accountability
361
NoodleFish76 Mar 19, 2026 +70
Didn’t you hear that we shouldn’t be making such a big deal about any dead people as a result of this? It’s war, people die, and worst of all, you might upset Mighty Manly Man Pete Hegseth, who is in no way shape or form crying himself to sleep every night because of the mean false news.

Have you seen that MAGA parents and normal kids podcast The MAGA dad was frothing with excitement that America was killing Muslims at an industrial level again
63
smulzie Mar 19, 2026 +56
The Necessary Conversation? My wife and I had to stop watching. The mom has some rationality, but the dad is absolutely insane. This show made me realize we can never see eye to eye with these people. The news we watch is too confusing to them. The news they watch is too stupid for us. And the kids keep coming back week, after week, after week to this show. Banging their heads against the wall. Our two sides can never agree, it's horrible.

The threat of poverty is perpetually dangled over our heads to keep us shackled to our corporate overlords. What you're suggesting runs counter to the very essence of American society. Late stage capitalism is built on a double standard. If you're too big to fail then you're always entitled to socialism, otherwise you deserve financial hell if you don't make it big.

503
eposseeker Mar 19, 2026 +304
What do you mean he hasn't? Dan Goldman literally spoke about unredacted victim testimony, deemed credible by the FBI, containing allegations that Trump tried to force a 13 year old to perform oral sex on him.
304
kurttheflirt Mar 19, 2026 +107
Yeah but if you go to major news headlines or turn on old school TV news it hasn't. And that is what the majority of "informed" Americans are seeing

RealStitchyKat Mar 19, 2026 +17
Wait how much was it going to cost to extend health care subsidies? $30 Billion? But that was too expensive. But $200 Billion for a stupid war that doesn't benefit America in any way? That is reasonable. WTF.

What is the end goal for these people? They're spending money like insane people, where do they think this is all headed? What kind of a life do they want for themselves when this is all over? Is it literally just mountain dew and rage tweets from here until the grave for these guys?

Chrisofascist armageddon f*****. Their goal is to scorch the earth and retreat to their bunkers in the hopes of summoning Jesus. Let’s hope that-  if they get their way - it all ends similarly to Raiders of the Lost Ark for them.
