Warfighter is a term that exists because some branches don't like being called soldiers. Marines in particular get angry about it. In other countries the term soldier can refer to any member of the military but I guess the US military is so big the branches need their own demonyms.

I regret to inform you that warfighter has been a term in common use for at least a few years now, at least in the relevant industries.

We are. But it hasn't set in yet and people are MAD about this war. People have been MAD about the Epstein files for a while now. I live in a blue part of a red state and I go through red areas for work and all the pro Trump signs are down. People I know who were MAGA are rethinking things.  And the rest of us are organizing and protesting like hell. It's just never in the media and a lot of us don't want much of a social media footprint since we are being surveilled. 

The military has already been briefed that our only legitimate sources of news for this conflict are DOW official social media, White House press releases and internal branch focused emails. All other sources are to be considered illegitimate and unreliable.

Yes, we should all aim to be more “woke.” Redefining words and muddying language is, however, part of the fascist playbook. So when you say “I’m fine being woke, I’d rather not be asleep” their brain can’t process what it is you mean because the word has been used constantly incorrectly for years. It’s psychological manipulation on a huge scale

It just means you are aware of social injustice. It dates back to the civil rights movement, not the Matrix. It's like 40 or 50 years older. By that definition the US military has historically been the most woke part of the government. They have to be. Understanding things like hoe social injustice affects your soldiers is key to creating a cohesive unit. When going into another country understanding social injustice there is key to developing allies. While definitely not perfect the military has always been on the cutting edge when it comes to things like segregation.

There’s so much more… I mean it’s been one year. Oh I forgot, rigging the elections by asking states to redistrict in their favor while accusing everyone else of voter fraud. War because he didn’t get the peace prize. Weird comments about genetics? And on and on and on. Starting wars without consulting Congress, Congress does nothing.
