I see your point But that's exactly why I tell my friends "no matter what I'm doing. If I'm awake, and you need someone to talk to, I'm there for you." Knowing full well, they'll never pick up on it

Id rather carry their tears on my shoulder than my casket I got no problem making the stupidest jokes and taking the piss But even if they would never take me up on my offer I want them to know they are not alone

Fear of being a burden. I don't want to feel like I'm inconveniencing others, even when I genuinely need support

Would you perceive someone asking for genuine help as a burden?

Some people use it against u

Depends on the people, but I see you, there's always this fear of people using your vulnerability against you

We've been conditioned to work through stuff alone.

Not necessarily Imo, we've never been taught about dealing with our emotions in a healthy way by the people responsible for doing so I do see your point and feel the same way tho (sadly)

Afraid the will not help me then I have to figure out why. Because I need to know everything
1
Actaron Apr 3, 2026 +1
Because knowing everything gives you more control over the situation?

I guess so not sure.

Why overthink something when you can't change it tho? I see your point of needing to know everything But if you can't do anything, why worry over it?

Just how my mind works. I have tried journaling and different ways to stop it but it's hard.

Because if it's not you doing something, you can't trust people to do it the correct(your correct) way?

Because "I am fine" is faster than explaining the whole mess.
1
Actaron Apr 3, 2026 +2
Why explain the whole mess? Ask for help for the current issue, and go from there (I am aware this is not just about tangible things, but I hope you see my point)

I'm always told to just Google, ai, or YouTube whatever I need help with.

I feel like my very existence is a bother to everyone else and I was raised to just obey and do what others wanted, not to ask for anything for myself , and I still havent been able to get over that

"I don't know; Figure it out; Look it up in an encyclopedia/google it;" Also a consequence of growing up as a people pleaser is that you'll see how people skidaddle when you need help.
