People who lost their job and were falling behind, what actually helped you get back on your feet?

just focusing on one small step at a time, updating my resume, applying to one job a day, and leaning on friends for support, made the impossible feel doable.

Cutting my expenses down to the bare minimum for a while honestly saved me

I’m going through this right now—lost my job about 6 weeks ago, applied to over 100 positions, and doing gig work but still falling behind. Trying to stay on my feet and figure out what I’m missing. I’ve got more context on my profile.

Have you contacted your government? (I don't know how UasA works) Find out if there's any help you can get to help pay for your rent and daily living. I know some people are too proud to do such things, but at the end of the day, you have to do what's needed.

networking is key, reach out to old colleagues and friends for leads. also, consider picking up freelance gigs or part-time work to bridge the gap while searching for something more permanent.

Savings acct. Happened in my twenties and I was scared. But my parents told me to always have 3 months $$ reserve. Took me several years at the time, but I did it.
