Hah undermining your military leaders is always great sign of leadership. So I guess military members can do whatever they like with the equipment now? Seems like a pretty clear precedent that was set.

Ex military here, Ive once seen a baae locked down because someone lost a dummy inert grenade because it is Defence property and belongs to the Armoury, que hours of emu bobbing from one side to another until it was found in someones jacket who forgot he out it in there.
He was massively punished.
But yeah flying a helicopter for fun, nothing wrong there.

He set that precedent in his first term when he stripped medals from the jag officers that were prosecuting a SEAL for war crimes and gave the war criminal his SEAL trident back. Then his crybaby bitches whined like babies when they were ordered to get Covid vaccines. He's irreparably rat fucked our military by politicizing it. You can do what you want as long as you support the king.

"The Party of Law and Order" cheering on the evaporation of law and order. Cheering on the dismantling of our checks and balances, of government tyranny, the ushering in of a dictatorship.

Wow, this whole thing sure feels like a way to pimp out the message that they're sending attack helicopters to fly over peaceful protests. Right down to the almost "aw, shucks, we can't have no fun" narrative.

This dumb f****** fraternity of an administration will be dealt with when this is all over, hopefully.

What a f****** joke of a secretary of defense. What next: drag racing f****** tanks down Times Square?
I absolutely hate this damned administration and the shitheads who enabled it.

Let's see something here, this story has been running for about 72 hours now, occupying a few key s**** of media outlets' top stories on occasion, and filling a bunch of sub listnooks and other online communities with coverage and conversations.
No consequences for anybody involved.
A lot of outrage. No accountability.
Meanwhile...Hegseth is guilty of bombing a girl's school in Iran, talking like he's in a Michael Bay movie in press conferences reading Dr. Seuss poems from hell, and covering for decisions Trump is making as well.
We need to refocus the media on what's important.
Because there actually is a zero sum attention span.

Imagine showing this headline to someone in the early 2000s

Just another regular newsday, with headlines where I go "I recognize all the words in this sentence, but I'm pretty sure I'm missing some kind of context".

The regime would like to remind peaceful protesters that attack helicopters will be sent to protests. Y'know, like Iranians would occasionally remind protesters that armed men will be sent to protests.

I bet a dollar that this is petty revenge for Trump wanting a North Korea style military parade and then getting "...but we have county parade at home" version instead.
