They are pushing for escalation and are removing anyone left standing in their way

I see that dumbass doing a photoshoot handing Trump the nuclear football.

No joke; this is definitely on the table for them. The talk about "stone age" is coded exactly for this.

I said this yesterday, but I literally think Trump nuking Iran is not off the table. People seem to think this can’t happen, but if he feels he has no choice, his dementia riddled brained will justify it somehow. It’s certainly possible, and honestly, I don’t see how we actually get out of this f*** up, I really don’t. Trump is trapped in the hell of his own making and he knows it. He fucked up so bad and the man is panicking, I just hope he isn’t crazy enough to utilize the final option (but we all know he’s narcissistic sociopath).

Trump's been spoiling to drop a nuke since the [early days of Trump 1.0](https://www.cnbc.com/2016/08/03/trump-asks-why-us-cant-use-nukes-msnbcs-joe-scarborough-reports.html)

If he sends troops in and it goes really badly, I think the odds will substantially increase.

Davidx91 Apr 3, 2026 +1
They will be dropping a nuke, it’s already planned out by Stephen miller.

Its probably awful but recoverable if they use low yield nukes to render the uranium stockpiles inaccessible. If they drop one on the general population, that is a whole other story.

US using one in Iran means Russia uses one on Ukraine.

I would hope that dropping any kind of nuke would cause massive domestic upheaval. Trump would be impeached and removed.

Lostinthestarscape Apr 2, 2026 +3
I mean it would be shocking but if it is low yield and ruins the underground of a mountain range that is inaccessible to anyone but the IGRC its immeasurably different than killing 10-40k civilians who already for a large aprt hate the regime. I'm not saying its any sort of ok to do the former, im just so f****** tired of the world shifting goal posts of what we're willing to accept for this f****** clown. I have so little faith it would actually change anything other than more admonishing and minimal f****** action from our shit world leaders. I don't have a lot of hope in the average American doing something serious, and it isn't their own fault, they've all been turned into slaves to their jobs for fear of a bad flu wiping out generational wealth. 10 million protesting in the streets! Awesome, without a general strike it won't do shit.

I hear you my friend.  If I could, I would have you over for tea and biscuits and we could both scream into the void together.

Imagine having your whole career in the military and then this unqualified, snot nose, weekend newscaster, gets put in control of the military and pushed you out of the career you gave for your country.

I agree, it’s genuinely unfathomable.

Kind of what happened to Captain Brett Crozier - former Captain of the USS Theodore Roosevelt. Wrote an internal letter asking for his sick crew be moved ashore for Medical care. Someone leaked that letter to the press, and he got fired over it.

Lostinthestarscape Apr 2, 2026 +4
Everyone wants someone else to do it and all the people with power and networks are deciding its no country for old men.

Impressive-Knot9999 Apr 2, 2026 +8
Don't want anyone competent with morals in charge

Donald Trump said a decade ago that he wants to set off a nuke. He wanted to nuke a hurricane He explored smaller tactical nuclear bombs to be used more readily in active combat situations He's stoking nuclear rhetoric with Iran after invading them, after killing their leader who was more anti-nuclear than his replacement, and after ending the nuclear regulatory agreement with them All signs point to Trump wanting to drop a nuclear bomb on Iran, and that was before the Alzheimer's started affecting him

I share this concern. It has been reported that in the last couple weeks he has been pushing for this. The reporting said Generals told him to pound sand. Listen to the first episode of the new podcast “American Power.”

Ya … it was that guy’s fault.

Williamsjt316 Apr 2, 2026 +6
This is the way. Get rid of highly experienced, intelligent personnel that give advice that you do not want to hear. Let's go with Trump's spur of the moment instinct. It's working so well thus far.

Lostinthestarscape Apr 2, 2026 +1
If he can bankrupt casinos he can bankrupt America! Wait, why'd you vote this guy in again?
