You'll gradually start to think the idiots might have a point. It's like watching TikTok 24/7 or asking the nearest LLM what your opinions are supposed to be - even if you start out sane, the brain rot will eventually seep in by osmosis. Like RFK Jr. rolling in the nearest roadkill, you will eventually end up sick. But to give you an idea: First, try to imagine the very worst Tumblr blog from back in the day. The kind authored by a person who've managed to so thoroughly confuse themselves that they're mainly preoccupied with trying to figure out which of ten arbitrary subdivisions of pan-sexual they are and scouring the nearest thesaurus for new and exiting pronouns to use. Now imagine an entire community of like-minded people, except instead of harmlessly attempting to settle on their favorite flavor of DnD Dragon for their fursona, they're instead arguing about why one of the genocides they've decided they like was *totally* justified. Trust me, whether they're Neo-Nazis, Tankies, MAGA, religious fruitcakes or conspiracy nuts, it's best to leave them all in their echo-chambers to wallow in the madness they spew. China hasn't really been maoist since the 60's and 70's cultural revolution. After a bunch of economic reforms (example Deng xiaoping) China has adapted and is now able to rival the US dollar. If Mao rose from the dead right now he'd start rolling in his grave. Not once but twice. Also current CCP structure is more of a Leninist/Marx state party structure. That doesn't mean that China denounces Maoism but rather they still revere Mao and his ideology as a sort of nostalgia.

I'm a little bit educated (2 years in college for economics, then switched to history for 3 years). Communism is a mess of an ideology and whether it succeeds or ends up killing tens of millions of people is essentially up to luck. Socialism can work, communism can not.
