I am a trader at one of the bulge brackets and it is widely known on Wall Street that Jamie Dimon will intentionally go on Fox Business for an interview to speak indirectly to Trump when he wants some type of policy shift because he knows Trump is constantly watching cable news.
Dimon will say something while being cleverly diplomatic / flattering towards Trump and within 48 hours, Trump will make a comment that coincided basically with what Dimon said.
It’s comical how easily manipulated Donald Trump is. He truly cannot help himself.

During Trump's first presidential run there were rumors that his advisors would leak stuff on Fox News in order to manipulate or convince Trump to do a certain thing or follow a path. At the time, I thought it was stupid, the rumor was that these were Trump's advisors, the people that could literally call Trump on the phone and talk to him. Why would Trump listen to people on TV instead of the professionals that were paid to know what they were talking about?
After Trump won the presidency it became clear that the rumors were true, and that Trump respects whatever is said on TV or Fox News much more than whatever an advisor or expert tells him.

Sounds like he wants everything to seem like it was his idea.
If the TV says something should be done, then in his mind it's not some person saying this but he just go the idea from a TV show himself.

Also if it's something that has found it's way to being said on TV then there must be a bunch of people out there saying the same thing. Thus we get the ever elusive "some people" who constantly seem to be saying things that really favor Trump.

Corporate/foreign lobbying and oligarch media ownership destroy democracy, countries and middle-class. Look up the Dark Enlightenment.

Not "on paper". While the role has little room for discretion, it does serve important constitutional functions. Because all legal systems are susceptible to politics, having a system that's embedded in centuries of tradition and shared with other countries has a history of proving useful at undermining attempts at subversion.
In fact, the notion that embedding Canada within the framework of Commonwealth Realms serves as a bulwark against the U.S. has always been seen as one of its uses.

Trump is lost and confused, he knows he won but people are saying he lost. He doesn't understand this because in his head he's never lost anything. I'm going to honestly admit I didn't have " pivot to Greenland" on my Iran war Bingo card..
That's definitely my bad.

Just look at polymarket. Look at the bets around Greenland and NATO. Yes he us going to ruin NATO and invade Greenland. Polymarket needs to be outlawed

In one sense I agree but without corrupt insider betting on polymarket we'd never know what is really going on.
I'm sure the IRGC have been watching it closely of late.

I had Canada.
I'm not joking. I really thought that Canada not outright supporting the US in the war would have made the 51st state and Governor Carney stuff resurface.
Though there's still time; 2.5 years of it.

**Trump:**
- Fucks global economy (including US and UK) with clownshow tarriffs
- Uses US Navy to conduct extra-judicial explodings of civilian vessels and killings of civilian survivors
- threatens to invade Canada (a US and UK ally)
- threatens to invade Greenland (a US and UK ally)
- generally slags off any world leader (including allies) that don’t agree with him.
- Does a random regime change by kidnapping the leader of a foreign sovereign nation
- Prioritises Russian objectives in the Ukraine war *every single time*, aligning with Russian geopolitical objectives short of sucking Putin’s wrinkly ballsack.
**Also Trump:**
- *starts a war* in Iran, without a plan, f****** the world economy (again!) while simultaneously saying objectives are complete, not complete, won, not won, doesn’t need help, needs help, whining about why members of a *defensive alliance* won’t help him start a war, there was a plan, but this is the new plan, you wouldn’t know her anyway she goes to another school.
**Also, also Trump:**
- *WHY WON’T ANYONE HELP MEEEE?!*

If one country can chase away 3 US carrier groups in the Middle East, 31 countries can chase the US away in the Arctic.
I'll never wish for war, but forcing another NATO member to invoke Article 5 will certainly settle the NATO issue vis-à-vis the US once and for all, and honestly, these days, clarity is more valuable than gold or oil.

Drone warfare has completely changed the game, the Western powers (Ukraine excepted) haven't properly caught on to this yet, or reacting slowly. Systems like the UK's Dragonfire and Israel's Iron Beam (not endorsing the IDF's actions here, just mentioning the tech exists!) are coming along but we need to move faster.

I would not be surprised if a few more contracts for American arms get cancelled too.

At this point, blaming Donald Trump is missing the point. He’s not the disease, he’s the symptom. The real issue isn’t how he got elected twice, it’s why the conditions that made him electable haven’t gone away. This broken system is always going to cough up someone like him forever.
