Hegseth’s religious rhetoric surrounding this Iran thing is one of the most disgusting displays I’ve ever seen an American politician make. He needs to be tried in an international court for war crimes once we get ourselves out of this mess.
Edit: I’m sure they’ll get themselves pardons before trump is gone, but there may legitimately be a group of people involved who can’t safely travel internationally again.

The reports that came out recently about commanders telling their troops about Armageddon is even more concerning in light of Kegseth’s recent comments.
They won’t give this up purely because of religious fanaticism.

Recovering Catholic here. Despite the fact I left the church many years ago, I gotta say I love Pope Leo.

MAGA celebrated an American Pope for about five seconds until Leo made it clear he wasn’t licking the boots of the regime

Pope Leo is really a nice guy. I have seen that some zionist Republicans accusing him of taking Qatar money as soon as he start talking against war.

Humans: ‘Cool, but can you at least like our prayer post?’
God: left on read”

The Pope basically just said 'unsubscribed' on behalf of God. Bold move, let's see if anyone actually listens.

As a general rule, evangelicals only live by a selective reading of the Old Testament. In terms of the actual teachings of Jesus Christ, they zone out.

I've seen plenty of evangelicals say that Catholics aren't even Christians because of various made up reasons.

Evangelicals like to claim exclusive rights to Jesus because they’re the loudest. Their hate is boisterous whereas the kindness of actual Christians is softer and gentler.
Evangelicals could never know what it’s like to truly follow the true teachings of Jesus.

Why are there thousands of denominations? Why can’t they agree on anything? That always seemed a little bizarre to me.

Differences in interpretation, the Bible is full of metaphor and vagueness. It’s human nature to see things differently

God is the person that convince its believers to do the things that god wants done :) we are fucked as a species with an imaginary belief system that lacks accountability except “faith leads the way” like a bunch of caveman’s :)

Trump’s Christianity is so fake it’s astounding any self-described Christian falls for the grift.
Trump branded Bibles? Trump being unable to name scriptures? Two Corinthians?

God also doesn’t listen to the prayers of children being molested by clergymen. God chooses to do nothing.
I have zero respect for Catholics while they still allow and cover up rampant child abuse in their corporation.

Agree on this point, the Catholic Church has long shielded child molestation. But on this point, the Pope IS right

look i get what he’s saying.
and i am a former christian who studied the bible in undergrad in two classes and weekly chapel.
but this message of God not listening to anyone’s prayer is a dangerous precedent.
we tell children that god hears and sees all. that even the smallest voice god makes time for.
perhaps the message should be god does not “answer” prayers of those who wage war.
