Jesus never said “peace through strength”, he wanted peace through loving thy neighbor. “Peace through strength” is blasphemy against Jesus’ teachings.

they've been trying to rewrite the sermon on the mount its why jordan peterson erroneously says "Those that have swords but keep them sheathed will inherit the earth" is the correct translation. This makes no sense even if there were linguistic evidence, which there isn't, in context of the rest of the sermon. Matthew 5 vs 38 through 48 **^(38)** Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: **^(39)** But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. **^(40)** And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also. **^(41)** And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain. **^(42)** Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away. **^(43)** Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. **^(44)** But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; **^(45)** That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. **^(46)** For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? **^(47)** And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? **^(48)** Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Maybe, maybe not, but its definitely better without people who outright lie about their faith to justify wars.

It’s not a maby, all wars stem from the abuse of religion. :)

Yeah, cuz even if religion has some good teachings, it doesn’t encourage critical thinking. Instead it creates herds of people who obey authority figures easily.

I don't think the world would be better or worse without religion. Removing one lever of power won't change much beyond which levers of power get pulled to get things done.

So many qualifiers with Trump. Should Could Might May Seems. So f****** tiring. Can't wait for something definitive such as "He isn't". I've been sober for years. On that day I crack bottles open.

I don't think I've been sober a single day since he regained office.

Excommunicate JD Vance while you’re at it. It would be incredibly funny.

From the leader of the team that did not care who they put in office.. just so he could force 10 yr old r*** victims to give birth. Never forget that the Catholic Federalist Society was formed in 1973, with the Express purpose of taking over the US Supreme Court so that they could implement their forced birth ideology. And now here we are. It is only the blood of men that he complains about. “Men will never be free until the last king is strangled with the entrails of the last priest.” ~Denis Diderot French Enlightenment philosopher writer and encyclopædist (1713–1784)

Two things can be right at the same time, and not negate each other.

“Right” is a very subjective term in this situation.

I’m not catholic (my kids are), but I’m really appreciating Pope Bob. He seems like a really solid guy.
