Poster for our upcoming Horror-Comedy WEEKEND AT THE END OF THE WORLD starring Thomas Lennon and Troian Bellisario.

Posted by GilleKlabin

Here's the official poster for our little indie film coming out April 20th 2026. My last film was THE WAVE (starring Justin Long). This movie was made for a fraction of the budget with many of the team wearing multiple hats, including my exhausted self making this poster. We're dropping the official trailer soon.

Poster has that indie festival vibe in a good way. What kind of tone are you going for—more funny or more horror?

The movie is definitely more of a comedy than a horror but we worked hard to make the horror and sci-fi elements hit hard.

You got Tom Lennon, you’ve got my attention. I’m in!

I'm still in disbelief that he said yes. He is a comic genius

He’s one of my absolute faves.

As well you should be. I loved him before working with him but now I’m just in awe of his brilliant mind.

I'm frankly very jealous of you. I'm a screenwriter and his (along with his writing partner Ben's) sense of absurdism has influenced me a lot in my writing. Also the rest of The State, of course. I was just the right age when they were doing that weird-ass show and a lot of that sensibility has stuck with me. Please tell me he was as genuinely nice and gracious as I've seen him be in interviews and such!

I don't possess the fluency of language to adequately express how wonderful, inspiring, patient, and fun he was. He was show runner on the State in the mid nineties and came to slum it on our movie getting paid the same as the PA's. That level of humility is so rare, he was just there for the sheer joy of making something with other passionate filmmakers.

Hopefully he's new boot goofing at least once

Tom Lennon? Say no more, I'm in.

GilleKlabin Mar 23, 2026 +3
That's the correct instinct.

Absolutely loved the Wave, so I’m in for anything you create! Is this going to get a wide release in theaters, or what’s the best way to watch this when it releases?

Thank you so much. It'll be available in the US on all VOD platforms (itunes/amazon/google etc)

Thomas Lennon should have had a more prominent career. Somebody cast this man in a dramatic role!

GilleKlabin Mar 22, 2026 +30
He has had such an enormous career. He's written as much as he's acted. Dude's a global treasure

Totally! He and Robert Ben Garant, also starred in Reno 911, wrote the Night at the Museum movies.

Lennon has 210 acting credits on IMDB alone. He does voice work for tons of animated shows and movies - including regularly appearing on Bob's Burgers and American Dad. He's got a boatload of starring and supporting roles in films. He's also got a bunch of writing credits, and a handful of directing credits. The dude has had an awesome career.

and I'd wager he's not even half way done with his body of work
1
indamoufofmadness Mar 23, 2026 +1
Probably not. He clearly loves comedy, and is great at it.

Heh, we hired the guy who designed that font to make a custom one for us in 2017, it’s funny to see the original one pop back every now and then. Cant not see it.

I love it so much, it's got so much character

How can one watch this in New Zealand?
3
GilleKlabin Mar 22, 2026 +8
sorting that out right now. We're going to make it available worldwide as close as possible to its domestic release in April. But if for some god forsaken reason we fail, I'm sure you'll be able to find a p****** version on youtube.... but please make that your plan b.

Troian Bellisario is the Daughter of Donald Bellisario. He named a character in Quantum Leap after her.

The Wave was great. I always recommend it to anyone who wants a nice mindfuck movie. This looks like it's going to be a fun ride as well.

GilleKlabin Mar 22, 2026 +2
Thanks so much, personal suggestions are pretty much the only way I check out new movies so that means a lot. This is definitely a much funnier movie than the wave but you’ll still get a healthy dose of mindfuckery, I promise.

TwoStoopidToFurryass Mar 22, 2026 +1
I can never keep a good movie to myself, and I'll take all the mindfuckery you can make. 4/20 is a great release date, btw. Speaking of not keeping a good movie to myself, you should watch a movie called Blood Punch (2013). It's a movie you can't watch the trailer for, because it spoils the entire movie. It's a fun mindfuck.

The Wave was a fire movie! I’m looking forward to this one. Did you write both?
2
GilleKlabin Mar 22, 2026 +2
Thanks so much. I worked with the writer on The Wave but didn’t write any of it myself. This one I co wrote with Clay Elliott who plays Karl. We wrote 16 drafts over the course of 2 years.

Lovely job on the poster and this definitely looks like my kind of lower budget flick. I've also never heard of The Wave but just watched the trailer and will be seeking that out immediately. I hope all the hard work pays off.

GilleKlabin Mar 22, 2026 +1
Thank you so much. Getting you to check out both films would be a hell of a result.

SutterCane Mar 22, 2026 +1
Tom Lennon doing his best Joe Lo Truglio on that poster!

GilleKlabin Mar 22, 2026 +2
How dare you! That face is perfect and unique

tomcolefilmmaker Mar 22, 2026 +1
SOLD! I will be watching - where can I find it?
1
GilleKlabin Mar 22, 2026 +1
Thanks stranger. On all VOD platforms

This looks like some Lovecraftian, this gives Color Out of Space
1
GilleKlabin Mar 22, 2026 +2
It’s got a lot of cosmic horror but a whole lot of stupid too
2
hackyandbird Mar 22, 2026 +1
Ayyy, we loved The Wave, so we are definitely going to check this out. Love to see people who have made movies we enjoy still making movies. It's a tough industry and we're glad you guys are in it.
1
GilleKlabin Mar 23, 2026 +1
Thank you so much for saying that and checking The Wave out. There's a lot of stylistic similarities but this is a very different movie, way funnier, but still a wild trip.

andromeda880 Mar 22, 2026 +1
Fun!!! I'll check it out when its released

GilleKlabin Mar 23, 2026 +2
I'll be all over Reddit telling you all about it when it's out.

Troian is still in the game? Haven't heard of her for quite some time.

She was just the lead in “on Call” on Amazon. It was the top show on the platform for bit. She is incredible
