Fun fact: Israel sold arms to Argentina before and during the Falklands War. So the British had to down American made jets in that conflict.

I mean ya they did. Those jets were actively trying to sink British ships and plans after the colonial invasion of the Falklands by the Argentinians

The fun thing is that it wasn't even colonialism. The Islands were uninhabited until the French arrived, then a year later the British appeared. The French gave their settlement to Spain and recognized Spain's claims, and the British were expelled, signed a bunch of treaties promising to not settle in Spanish land ( which they later break ), and come after 70 years later to find Argentinians living in the islands and expel them at gunpoint, then they move in their own people and make them vote. It was always British colonialism, they just try really hard to pretend they have a rightful claim to a land they renounced decades ago. Most British I know have absolutely no idea the British don't have any meaningful claim other than really really want them, most of them believe they found the Islands deserted when they came back after the Spanish left.

Look at the world's map and the Falkland Islands's location. Do you really believe this pertains to the UK and not to Argentina?

Well given that there was no indigenous population there when the Brits showed up and the population then and now prefers to stay British, yes.

>Well given that there was no indigenous population there There was, the first to ever settle the Islands were the French in the settlement of Port Louis, which was given to Spain in exchange for compensantion for recognizing Spain's claims over the islands. And later when the British came back the islands had a settlement of Argentinians which they claim was mostly composed of military personnel which they expelled at gunpoint. > then and now prefers to stay British, yes. When you expel the locals at gunpoint and put your own people there sure is easy to make them prefer you.
