The most serious damage they can realistically do is interference in the parliamentary elections next month. The incumbent pro-EU government is unpopular, partly because of the loss of Nagorno-Karabakh, partly because of "traditional values" hysteria. It's quite possible that an anti-EU pro-Russian government comes to power, similar to what happened in Georgia.

Tough to be Armenia tbh, when Turkey, the country which famously committed a genocide on your people then denied it for 100 years and counting, is your best hope for survival. The other big kids on the block are Iran, which has a large Azeri minority, the same people that hate how you exist next to them, and Russia, which wants to keep you as a helpless and corrupt vassal state but lacks the power to even give you any benefits or protection in exchange. And since they are a land-locked nation, they can't even get much help from the US even if the US were for some reason inclined to offer any.

About Iran: armenia is on a positive note with them despite the regime being a terroristic entity, they have no problem with Armenia and have even send military to its border with armenia when Azerbeidzjan threatened the southern region. And most Azeri's there are different from the ones in Azerbaijan (long story) The reason we can't count on them now is the war and Armenia has no interest of picking anyones side in this. As long as they are occupied in Ukraine, I doubt it. But if they would stop hitting Ukraine with drones, and started hitting another country, that country would face a ton of destruction and huge losses before it got the handle on it.
Right now, Ukraine is likely the most advanced military in the world when it comes to frontline combat. Of course, nowhere near the US when it comes to airforce. US also likely have much more advanced ground vehicles and soldier equipment. The question is if that matters as much in current drone warfare. When a few c**** drones can easily take out equipment costing millions.

The big issue here is that no military planner is omniscient. What might look like a powerful enemy might actually be a paper tiger. What might look like a far weaker nation might actually have resolve and/or military capabilities beyond what is predicted. The latter is exactly what happened to Russia in 2022.
The same British Empire that stomped Zanzibar in 38 minutes would a few years later find itself in the Second Boer War, also a case of British Empire vs a far smaller nation, and while the British won in the end, they suffered disproportionate casualties despite having a far larger, better-funded, and more technologically advanced invasion force. It also gave their ruling party (the Tories) their worst election loss in history until the latest one in 2024.

Sure though to some extent Russia is probably going to bolster the numbers with green recruits.
But Armenia is not a peaceful country it's military has experience too, last fully going to war in 2020. But they've been fighting small conflicts since. Russia's refusal to assist in that war is actually the reason for this rift.
That lack of armour is a fatal flaw. It'll force the Russians into a slower advance against Armenian defensive positions. Which will be bolstered by their shiny new French weapons, vehicles and drone tech.

Armenia has about 3 million population, not even 1/10th of Ukraine. They only recently have recovered from the war with Azerbaijan. It would be over in a few days even with all the weapons support from the west. Only way out for them could be NATO’s fast deployment in Armenia before officially accepting them but we all know this is not possible.

The german doctrine was actually to be agile with railroads doing most of the transport. Worked great in Europe. Broke down in Russia, but also the German railroad maintenance was long overdue from years of being used as a carrot in social goodwill programs.

Except that Armenians did learn a lot from their last war. They are reforming their army and brining up to NATO standards, they also cooperate with NATO countries and already buy modern Western equipment. + Russia doesn’t border Armenia and Armenia is landlocked.

2/ More generally, people should realize that Russia is not a country. Russia is a colonial empire which is slowly crumbling since the fall of the tsarist empire in 1917 (though those losses were temporarily reverted between 1945 and the end of the Cold War). Actual Russia is basically the region around Moscow. Everything else are (or were) concentric rings of colonies :
\- inside the current Russian federation ; Carelia, Koenigsberg, Tatarstan, Chuvachia, Daghestan, Chechnya, Siberian Nenets etc
\- in the former USSR : baltic countries, Ukraine, Belarus, the rest of the Caucasus (Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan ) and all the "-Stans"
\- further out : Poland, Finland
And while Putin plays the strongman (and simpletons like Trump fall for it), Russia is actually crumbling both from the inside and the outside as countries closer and closer to the empire core realize that :
1/ their interest is to flee Russia' influence zone for other blocs (Europe/NATO, Turkey, China ...depending on ethnicity, geography and various political plays).
2/ there isn't all that much that Russia can actually do to stop them.

I reckon Armenia, Georgia, and Ukraine should form a military alliance and mutually declare war on Russia.
Ukraine would be happy to spread the war over more fronts, Russia wouldn't have the capability to engage across it all so the other two would have an easier time, and Georgia could look to reclaiming their own stolen lands.
