AuryxTheDutchman Apr 2, 2026 +237
A quadruple amputee who is a professional cornhole player shot and killed someone.

While driving a car!

Archduke_Of_Beer Apr 2, 2026 +51
Is this story sad or inspirational!? I don't know!
51
The_Grungeican Apr 3, 2026 +21
A little of both, honestly.
21
Fallouttgrrl Apr 3, 2026 +8
Finally a reason to be proud to be an American - we have advanced as a society to the point that even a quadruple amputee can use their God-given right to kill another human being with a gun
8
The_Grungeican Apr 3, 2026 +1
i feel like i want to see him do it with a musket (including the loading) before we bestow him such acclaim.
1
1funnyguy4fun Apr 2, 2026 +44
It’s true. Nothing is impossible when you put your heart and soul into it!
44
lostroadrunner22 Apr 2, 2026 +25
You can even shoot your friend in the car with friends in the backseat then ask them to help you hide the body.... allegedly!!

His heart pulled back the hammer and his soul pulled the trigger.

This guy trying to pull a Darth Vader defense. “I got no arms, no legs, 3rd degree burns, and barely functional lungs. He fell on the light saber.”

And half your body into it

That’s what my dad said
1
HeadyBunkShwag Apr 3, 2026 +1
Was a Tesla, makes more sense with that context.
1
Shadax Apr 3, 2026 +1
And the guy who was shot was in the backseat.

5
a-handle-has-no-name Apr 2, 2026 +31
Here is a video of him shooting his handguns: https://youtube.com/shorts/wj_eF3WxZJw
31
Lord_rook Apr 2, 2026 +34
Goddamn, I bet he regrets posting those videos
34
non-squitr Apr 3, 2026 +18
Or at least his defense attorney does: "So you're telling me you actively went out of your way to prove your ability to shoot a gun, this could have been a slam dunk man!?"
18
DogfaceDino Apr 3, 2026 +5
Why? I read the article and watched the video but I don’t see how the video is particularly incriminating or anything. If anything, him dumping the body and running is the most incriminating part of this. He didn’t behave as if he had acted lawfully in self defense.
5
Impressive-Weird-908 Apr 3, 2026 +12
It proves he was quite capable with a firearm.
12
LinechargeII Apr 3, 2026 +1
Also shows he would have to be quite deliberate in its usage because of the amount of effort it takes him. It's not like he can whip it out one handed while driving the car.
1
AP_in_Indy Apr 3, 2026 +1
Because an even stronger defense would be, “This is preposterous. My client can’t possibly fire a gun!”
1
censuur12 Apr 3, 2026 +1
Except that's apparently (even without this particular bit of evidence) quite easy to disprove, so what makes you think such a defense would be "strong"?
1
Wild_Swimmingpool Apr 2, 2026 +10
shout out to AP linking to this to satisfy the question everyone wanted to know.
10
HoneyBadgerLive Apr 3, 2026 +5
Now show him driving and pulling out a handgun to shoot a passenger. I gotta see this...

Since this was all in motion since the 60’s I’d say that’s probably not it.

Obama was a time traveler, he had it fixed. Then those bastards shot Harambe and put us off track.

2

I had no idea what word was coming next when reading the headline.
2
Zardotab Apr 3, 2026 +1
It sure the heck sounds like something an **AI bot** would produce.
1
thegamenerd Apr 2, 2026 +114
Reading the article it definitely doesn't paint a picture of "self defense" being the case here. Shot the passenger during a heated argument, pulled over and asked his other passengers to help pull the body out of his car (they refused, got out, and got a hold of police), he fled the scene, dumped the body in a random yard, and then fled the state. That sure as shit (IMO IANAL) doesn't scream "I had to defend myself", that screams "I got pissed and shot a guy, then tried to get away with it". Had he pulled over, stayed at the scene, and called the police himself it would be a completely different story. But god damn does this seem like an open and shut case.
114
cloudsmiles Apr 3, 2026 +47
Headline might as well read, "Lawyer doing their job"
47
punkalunka Apr 3, 2026 +10
Too wordy. You gotta entice those clicks. "Lawyer does job".
10
justagenericname213 Apr 3, 2026 +2
We all know that lawyer either did not get the full story somehow or gave up asking the client to take a plea
2
AdjNounNumbers Apr 3, 2026 +6
Yeah, if you act in self defense you generally don't immediately go on the run
6
NoEmu5969 Apr 3, 2026 +3
I’m just wondering how they drive, shoot, drag bodies, and flee as a quadruple amputee.

Also the fact they have argued previously and the accused had fired a shot before in an argument.

Negative_Gravitas Apr 2, 2026 +66
On the other (ahem) hand, he hasn't got a leg to stand on. I guess the defense is just too much of a reach.
66
Zardotab Apr 3, 2026 +7
I'm going to go out on a limb here, and predict the Judge shall award you severe punalties.
7
heekma Apr 2, 2026 +20
Not bad, not bad.
20
LeicaM6guy Apr 2, 2026 +8
I’ll allow it.
8
Submissive-whims Apr 3, 2026 +3
He has a YouTube video demonstrating how he can load, c***, and fire a gun without arms or legs. That’s probably his best defense out the window.
3
koalasarentferfuckin Apr 3, 2026 +4
He had firearms
4

Disarmed, even
1

That’s the hardest I’ve laughed in a while. Thank you.
1
SteamedGamer Apr 2, 2026 +25
At no point could I predict the next word in this headline. What a ride...
25
heekma Apr 2, 2026 +117
There are so many other unanswered questions: How did he become a quadruple amputee? How can he drive a car? How can he fire a gun? Why is he so good at cornhole?
117
rebellion_ap Apr 2, 2026 +67
There's dozens of tiktoks of him shooting a variety of arms.....
67
cantproveidid Apr 2, 2026 +63
Not his own, of course
63
Romeo_Glacier Apr 2, 2026 +14
How do you think he lost both of them?
14
cantproveidid Apr 3, 2026 +6
Set them down, got distracted, forgot where he left them. It could happen to anyone.
6
RedTheRobot Apr 2, 2026 +1
He had blood clots at 10 months old and they had to remove them to save his life. If people read the article instead of just the headline they would know this.
1
Romeo_Glacier Apr 3, 2026 +1
Yes, we can read. My comment was a continuation of the joke from the comment above mine. Context my dude.
1
barbieq68 Apr 2, 2026 +35
1. Menengitis no doubt 2. Probably with accessibility equipment 3. There's a video of him firing one, his right arm has can pull in at the end in a finger-esque way for the trigger it appears 4. The world may never know
35
you_wish_you_knew Apr 2, 2026 +11
>Menengitis no doubt Have you considered it might have been lupus?
11
grapeantler Apr 2, 2026 +10
Don’t be ridiculous. It’s never lupus
10
lethargy86 Apr 2, 2026 +4
Except when it's lupus
4
AccurateSympathy7937 Apr 2, 2026 +1
Well obviously in that case
1
heekma Apr 2, 2026 +1
It's always Lupus.

1

I can confirm it's not lupus.
2
Wafflelisk Apr 3, 2026 +2
Damnit Otto, you have lupus!
2
Mojo141 Apr 2, 2026 +15
The article mentions how it happened if you'd read it. And others have shown him firing a gun. But the car part is still a mystery. Plus shooting him in the head while driving
15
heekma Apr 2, 2026 +9
Not to mention his mastery of cornhole.
9
ScrewAttackThis Apr 2, 2026 +2
The article points out he was in a Tesla so the car thing really isn't that much of a mystery lol.
2
prettyy_vacant Apr 2, 2026 +4
The car part isn't a mystery. Adaptive equipment is used for cars all the time for disabled people.
4
IndividualChart4193 Apr 2, 2026 +7
Adaptive equipment to hold a gun n fire while driving?
7
WeAlmostAlwaysAlmost Apr 3, 2026 +3
Having watched the videos of him actually firing the gun I cannot fathom how no one managed to wrestle the gun away from him.
3
Simp_Simpsaton Apr 3, 2026 +1
Yea it answers the question but at the same time I'm curious how he was able to even pick up and align the gun in time. It takes multiple straight telegraphed seconds. Everything about this just raises more questions. Maybe he just sneaked it while no one was looking
1
krusbaersmarmalad Apr 2, 2026 +2
He drives a batmobile
2
prettyy_vacant Apr 2, 2026 +5
The question was "how can he drive a car?" Not "how can he fire a gun while driving a car?".
5
heekma Apr 2, 2026 +5
Well that's surely a question now, isn't it?
5
TennRider Apr 2, 2026 +6
The article ends with the following: >Webber was [featured by ESPN](https://www.espn.com/video/clip/_/id/38142023) in 2023 in a story of inspiration, noting he rode dirt bikes, wrestled and played football before becoming a professional cornhole player. The same year, he wrote an [essay for the “Today” show](https://www.today.com/health/essay/dayton-webber-professional-cornhole-rcna95307) about how he became a professional competitor. He said he learned to grab the bean bag by the corners and throw it using his amputated arms. >A [YouTube video posted two years ago](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/0QmPjTkX70Q) shows Webber loading and firing a handgun.
6
silver_garou Apr 2, 2026 +42
Questions that have answers if only you'd read the article, so they will forever remain a mystery.
42
The_Bitter_Bear Apr 2, 2026 +9
I thought we weren't supposed to read them?
9
Wooden_Bother_1024 Apr 3, 2026 +2
Wait. There are articles?
2
BecauseBatman01 Apr 2, 2026 +3
Most of these questions are answered in the article lol.
3
AdjNounNumbers Apr 3, 2026 +3
With all those questions answered, my biggest question is: with a group of four people in the car, how did they arrive at the decision that he should be the one driving?
3
heekma Apr 3, 2026 +3
This thing is like an onion, so many layers.
3
KenScaletta Apr 2, 2026 +3
There is a on of video showing him loading and firing guns as well as climbing ladders and all kinds of shit. His arms are cut off at the elbows and he can use the stumps to hold and fire guns. He is surprisingly able.
3
heekma Apr 2, 2026 +1
I realize that, the whole thing is ridiculous so I was just having fun.
1
KenScaletta Apr 2, 2026 +1
I thought it sounded crazy too until I saw the videos. The dude wanted to show off how able he was and inspire others, but ironically he just ended up screwing himself.
1
calvinwho Apr 2, 2026 +2
It's prehensile.
2
Donny_Do_Nothing Apr 3, 2026 +2
They call him "Mirror Ball"
2
czs5056 Apr 3, 2026 +2
The article says he had his arms and legs amputated at 10 months old to save his life from a particularly bad blood infection.
2
bgat79 Apr 2, 2026 +3
>How did he become a quadruple amputee? Webber said doctors amputated his arms and legs when he was 10 months old to save his life after he contracted a serious blood infection >Why is he so good at cornhole? He has arms just only above the elbow. I don't think there is any advantage there for cornhole. He probably just practices a lot. >How can he drive a car? >How can he fire a gun? I'm assuming prosthetics and maybe some modifications.
3
SnoodDood Apr 2, 2026 +1
The article answers all but one of these questions
1
heekma Apr 2, 2026 +1
Which one did the article not answer? I'm expecting his unprecedented cornhole expertise.
1
SnoodDood Apr 2, 2026 +2
> Which one did the article not answer? The answer to that question is in the article too! It's the driving one
2
love2go Apr 2, 2026 +15
The two backseat passengers are gonna sink his story.
15
deafening_mediocrity Apr 2, 2026 +60
Your honor, my client did not have a hand in this
60
Thief_of_Sanity Apr 2, 2026 +31
Dude drove two hours with the victim in his car before dumping his body. And the victim is on record from a previous incident saying that this dude Weber shot at him before after an argument. He may be quadriplegic but he still looks like he shot and murdered this guy.
31
starkiller_bass Apr 2, 2026 +10
Maybe he opened the door and had to swerve for 2 hours before the guy fell out
10
Zxcc24 Apr 2, 2026 +3
I feel like this could be easily proven/disproven given that, I believe, there were other people in the vehicle as well, right?
3
Matt90977 Apr 2, 2026 +5
I just realized i have no idea what a cornhole is
5
JcbAzPx Apr 3, 2026 +2
It's a game where you toss a bean bag at a hole in an angled panel of wood. Similar to horseshoes or shuffleboard.

7
PatrickMustard Apr 2, 2026 +6
The most surprising thing for me from this story, how the f*** is there a professional cornhole league?
6
Charm534 Apr 3, 2026 +1
Finally, yes, that is the real question.
1
freedfg Apr 2, 2026 +6
I gotta hand it to the defense, they make a hard argument; I just don't think the case has a leg to stand on.
6
icanith Apr 2, 2026 +2
If you read that headline and dont have questions, I truly want your existance.
2
nathan753 Apr 2, 2026 +1
Only reason i don't is watched something on it yesterday, dude definitely seems guilty with the timeline of events. Just sounds so unbelievable that he shot someone AND he was the driver, but like also it highlights that people in his situation are definitely more capable than society usually gives them credit for
1
Tommy8505 Apr 3, 2026 +2
Just watch out fer yer cornhole in prison bud.

3

A defense lawyer does his job. People should be talking about the victim. The alleged killer being different somehow is overshadowing the fact that someone is dead.
4
IllTwo7643 Apr 3, 2026 +2
These comments are gold😂 Bravo, all of you
2
Bright_Brief4975 Apr 2, 2026 +1
Seems a bold move, if it was not self defense, since, If I remember correctly there were at least 2 others in the car.
1
madroxide86 Apr 2, 2026 +1
Was the gun held in his cornhole?
1

You know what doesn't look good for your self-defense argument? Asking your two other passengers to help dump the body afterwards and, failing that, driving off with the dead guy you shot in head, off to another state.
1

Your honour I’m not here to deliberate on who did what and if a murder was committed, what I ask is this. If the victim was killed by a firearm…well then whose arms did the firing? Certainly not my clients
1
DamImABeaver Apr 3, 2026 +2
Too bad there's videos of him using firearms, proving that he can in fact fire arms with his arms.
