It's a mixed bag. He looks fine as Rama, but the visuals outside Ayodhya and exterior are what making it seem poor and like a hotstar Mahabharata level graphics. I think the parts wherever they used the sets were good but CGI in action scenes feels like straight from a videogame.

It looks like cutscenes from World of Warcraft and Diablo games more than an Indian epic. The visual style is so "western" and videogamey. Even with CGI they should have gunned for a fresher aesthetic, instead of making it look like Azeroth.

Personally I would prefer they did like a Northman and tried to give it a more grounded, "could be real" kind of visual style. But at the very least movies like Bahubali had a more medieval Indian aesthetic, even though they were working with lower budgets.

AI CGI is completely differnet from CGI back then, there are literally no actors wearing a greensuit in AI CGI..its all computer animated unlike gollum who was normal CGI cause Andy Serkis wore a green suit for motion capture, you can literally tell from the trailer above, that troll is not motion capture..its completely AI Generated

Nahh... I still choose that amazing old Japanese animated version any day. This feels like a useless remake. We already have so many TV shows and movie remakes of the same story over and over. It loses it's magic by so much repetition.
