In case anyone is wondering how rat poison could end up in baby food, it sounds like tampering:
"The police statement said the affected jars had a sticker with a red circle on the bottom of the jar and a lid that had already been opened or damaged or missing a safety seal, or had an unusual smell."

I heard that it was actually cross contamination in a production facility and the tampering story was made up to cover up corporate malfeasance.

So this person probably works at the distributors warehouse facility? What's even more bizarre is the Anon tip that made this discovery possible in the first place jesus. Edit: apparently they also found the same poisoned product in Czech and Slovakia

I'm from Austria. After an anonymous hint to the police that someone manipulated baby food glasses, some of these were found in supermarkets with broken safety seal. Some a****** did this on purpose. For what purpose, noone knows yet.

Our media said it had to do with blackmail.

probably, but so far noone's come forth with demands. This shit isn't the first time though. Some years ago someone already did this for no reason at all. Some sick f*** probably just wanted to see the headlines of babies dying.

Ugh disgusting, hope they find the individual cause I would think it's the same person in this case, or a copycat maybe who also wanted to have a go at getting semi-famous.
Either way I hope they find him and lock him up in an institution cause that ain't normal behaviour.

This type of crime is committed by someone who does not care who they kill and targets the most vulnerable of humans. That is a person deranged beyond comprehension.

This wasn't the company's fault, they assume someone tampered with the glasses. Possibly revenge or blackmail motive against the company.

Rat poison is an anti coagulant, which is a horrible way for any creature to die. The antidote is vitamin K btw.
Surprisingly, it’s possible that rat poison could’ve been used in the factory or somewhere in the supply chain, so ‘potentially’ it would be a horrible accident.
Although I think the article is saying the safety wrapper is missing from the affected products.
