I've rewatched *Ratatouille* lately and I have to say it's a perfect film. It doesn't feel like anything can be cut or extended, everything simply works just fine. If I have to compare Brad Bird's films, I think I'm giving the edge to *Ratatouille* as my favorite of his.
Also, here comes a detail that I didn't notice until a few years ago. When Ego meets Linguini, he says "I don't "like" food, I "love" it. If I don’t love it, I don't swallow." That's why he's thin. But now look at the end of the film, he's gaining some weight.

A funny thing about this movie is there's a Gordon Ramsay parody chef in the kitchen, and the main restaurant owner's goal is to sell the restaurant and the former chef's name to a frozen food company....and now Gordon Ramsay has done exactly that same thing to his own name. Life imitates art imitating life.
