Well idk where you've been but Americans for a while now have become extremely tribal, apathetic, uneducated and only interested in simply entertaining themselves every waking moment.
Doesn't help that every mainstream media platform is just propaganda owned by billionaires whose goal is to extract every piece of capital from the working class. Consume consume consume buy buy buy a bunch of shit to don't actually need.
This country is doomed unless the working class starts to organize. And people stop sending their hard earned money to billionaires in exchange for shit they don't need, we've become brainwashed to consume.

agreed 100% - i've really started noticing the past few years how much media is designed to divide people - east coast vs west coast, Giants Vs Cowboys, Red voter vs blue voter, ford vs chevy, realtree vs mossy oak, etc. - so many aspects of our current world are designed to be tribalistic - makes it much easier to get working class people to see each other as the enemy.
I'm old enough I can still clearly remember the feeling around the country (and world) immediately after 9/11 - the whole country was united in a way that almost feels alien today - we were not democrats and republicans and independants we were just Americans.

An oil tanker typically takes about 35 to 50 days to travel from the Strait of Hormuz to the U.S. Gulf Coast, depending on the route, vessel speed, and Suez Canal accessibility.
A journey around the Cape of Good Hope takes 10 to 14 days longer than the Suez route.
Key Factors and Times:
Route via Suez Canal: Roughly 35–40 days, depending on speed and congestion.
Route via Cape of Good Hope: Significantly longer, often exceeding 45-50 days,,, added in situations such as [this recent,, 2026 crisis,.
Tanker Speed: Typical tanker speeds average around 13–14 knots (approx. 15 mph).
Average Trip to Atlantic: A journey from the Persian Gulf to the Atlantic is a major, long-distance trip, as the tanker must traverse the Arabian Sea, Gulf of Aden, Red Sea, Suez Canal, and the Mediterranean before reaching the Atlantic.
The pain is just going to start coming. It's wild that MAGA still exists at this point. They will defend anything.

Not just China's EV industry. Like all EV makers that sell EVs outside the US. In Australia and New Zealand, there was like a record sales of EVs in March. New Zealand has had an actual run on EVs. In Australia, I wouldn't consider it a run yet, but many dealerships in Australia are low on EV supply as well.
Pretty much most of the EV brands in Australia and New Zealand have seen record sales in March, including Tesla, some of the European EV brands, and of course the Chinese EV brands.
I have read news reports of very high EV sales in other countries as well (aside from the US and Canada). It would be interesting to know what is happening in the rest of the world.

Yeah, Im sorry but you are all getting tarred by him and if you really want to be absolved you need to *actually* try and secede. 80million of your countrymen voted for this and you cunts need to own it.

Really eerie too, considering the ratio of trump loyalists to everyone else is about the same as it was during that one conflict in the 1860s 🙄

You're right. I voted for Kamala, as did my whole county. But, we live in a red state, and it didn't mean shit.
We have to own this, and we have to fix it. I don't care for my fellow Americans who try to act like it isn't their problem. It's all of our problem, as well as our responsibility.

This war is about to change the world for generations to come....... this was Irans line in the sand and any attack on Kharg island will been seen as a green light to bomb everything, nothing is off limits to them now.
Most of us are just trying to get by in life and wars like this hurt everday working people the most.

I'm not sure the war hurts every day working people the MOST.
Probably the families of the children and innocent civilians who are killed (on all sides) are hurt the most.

Thats what I meant tbh, my point is that its innocent civilians will suffer the most from this war.

I hate the TACO bullshit. People love it because it makes fun of Trump and is often accurate but for fucks sake it sounds like egging him on to do more and stop being such a little b**** backing out.
Like, the vast majority of narcissistic injuries related to chickening out do not lead to more chickening out but more doubling down and feeling like they have to go through with shit.
We want him to back out and stop doing all the fucked up shit he does. If TACO was even more true, I would be a lot happier. It's GOOD when Trump backs off his plans.

Given the choice of cracking jokes or not having thousands of Iranian civilians die, people here are taking the jokes all day. Not like they’re in the blast radius.

Aim? plan? there is none. Trump thought he could waltz in like with Venezuela and Iran would roll over for him. Iran have been planning for this for years, it's only now the US have someone stupid enough like Trump in charge that Israel got their wish and attacked. Iran can't hit the US directly, so by hitting other gulf states they know that will cause economic pain for the US and the world. Trump slagged off most of the US allies and wonders why no one would come and help them sort out this mess themselves and Israel had created.

Reports seem to have this attack allegedly originating from the Israelis which is interesting if credible. It sounds like the Israeli administration is realising that the Americans are desperate to try and extricate themselves from this mess, and they are pushing escalation to keep them embroiled.
That's not an excuse for American stupidity, but it does mean trying to resolve this becomes even more difficult.

No one wants to die because of the US’ hubris. That’s why almost everyone doesn’t want to send their forces to help even if the Iranian regime is deplorable. The US did not even inform its own allies of what they’ll do, plus Trump has been blasting their own allies for months leading up to this conflict.
They also do not seem to have a long term plan beyond bombing Iran and the IRGC. They did not even mobilize opposition forces to try and take over the country (as they did in Afghanistan).

Imagine just trying to live your life while a foreign tyrant bombs your friends, family, and schools, for no reason. That's Trump. A stupid, fat, pedophile, crybaby whose only real accomplishment is convincing the dumbest people in the country that he cares about their interests.
